a bit harsh FP, the weegies are a decent bunch just "high" on the exploits of their team this year following a few years in the wilderness. They deserve some optimism and concrete foundations for their team, so the future looks bright ........just not in the next 48 hours. The old chestnut about being in a lift with weegies and being invited to a wedding by the top floor holds true, unless you have a blue and gold scarf mind you. I`ve made a living in the city these last 30 years and the banter is always warm especially when they have had some chemicals. However the best thing out of glasgow might be the M74 if they could get the cones off it.

Amazing, even the weather is playing ball.........Apollo and Zeus have picked sides and held back the rain to see how this shakes down. Big crowds plaenty of banter just who will run out of chips first ??? Might need a few fags to get through this next 2 days (gave up 20 years ago) Thought of losing will keep me up nights as bragging rights last all Winter, since I work in the west...... Here`s hoping for 2 cracking meetings and 13 safe bodies throughout.......Yes Nick even you........

Maybe Smug at times Cliff but you have to acknowledge guts in others, and your boys showed it in spades, and without your No,1 contributing. I'm not a good loser but it makes you enjoy the victory's all the more and we have been spoiled in the last 2 years. Maybe we might have another gig,and at full strength. Monarchs/Rebels 111. The decider!

Fantastic news as I love my trips to the STMP....with a wee swing at Rockliffe Hall and day off work...naturally Gweat news Wedcar!!!!!

After the euphoria of Thursday when we burgled the 4s I guess it was only fair that a fired up Rebels septet slugged it out and won the KOC. I felt the atmosphere s bit flat and after the Sedgy ef it seemed inevitable that Somerset would do it,with some astute management. Well done to them. No repeat Quad this year........unless we count the big Spring?

Scrabble man might be back..... But Dickie MUST stay!!

Well done Somerset. Plugged away when they might have been swamped after first 2 heatsd. We just could not shake them off. Sedgy ef and 5 points from RR possibly swung it,but Stasrke and Worrall fought mightily. Kurtz struggles here and swapping him out of ,13 made sense leaving Jensen to score in 14. Thank goodness Erik got up from Ht 14 spill which could have been dreadful. He was the hero last night but did not manage to score in ,12 and 14 tonight. He will improve and no blame anywhere. Cookie sublime again. On to EOES and get well soon Kaiser. Enjoy the beer and long trip home Rebels. We might meet again!

Rebels V Monarchs 29/9/2015
Fenway Bleachers replied to rustyre bel1's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Cookie can only have 5 rides though.....and no 6 pointers Sam, Sedgy and erik hold the key to whether this is close or a good sized win by somerset. Reckon you will need 14+ for the return leg to make it interesting -
Poole Vs The Aces For The Title
Fenway Bleachers replied to Crazy robin's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Well done Cookie keep it up marra! More of the same tomorrow please Poole too strong on Weds though..... Maybe you might get a GB bib again?......oh no wait Rosco is manager......must wait longer Great TV viewing and a good advert for the sport towards the end -
Fantastic crowd tonight and we'll done all Scottish Speedway fans Monarchs hungrier from gate and deserved big win. Cookie sublime and Kaiser excellent despite Ht 15. Morris subdued though Spud tried hard, and the real Dickie Lawson appeared, not able to hide in the No 1 race jacket. Pavlova carmelised and Jimmy the Kangaroo sat still tonight...must be a first! But take a bow Coty Messi Garcia more please on Sunday Weegies liable to come out swinging at Ashfield but if we can keep it tight for first 6 races then it should be comfortable. If not then it might get close. Seems amazing that Tigers heat leaders won 1 race tonight and our reserves outscored theirs 7 to ,5 That explains the scoreline me thinks. Pity Stewart Dickson missed the winners parade this time.He did seem to enjoy a wee hurl on the wheels last time

Premier League Fours?
Fenway Bleachers replied to Jonas Sturebrand's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
No No! PR means per rectum........and we know what comes via that route -
Edinburgh did not charge extra last year....mind you as a season ticket holder I got a lot of extra meetings for free...so The promotion changed matters this year but still let me in for 14 so hats off to them.....guess I'll need to sponsor something!
-
Pity there is no equity in admission price George or even better...a combined ticket covering both matches.

Fenway Bleachers replied to Robinh88's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
That would need a change in GB management though.......rosco only picks his pals.......
