That's a long list SK. Good research. I wonder how many would come to the Dale each Friday. They would certainly enhance crowd levels and help us snuggle up warmer in the shed. Maybe if all the CVs were sent we are still sifting through the avalanche of paper. You never know.... Guess the other PL teams are just smarter than us

our tigger friends are still weeping whilst watching the DVD Scots.......a real best seller from Mike again, should have called it "pumping the weegies" part deux

Neither teams attendances too healthy that they can dispense with help from nearest rivals. Questionable tactics?

The scribbles on the back of a fag packet handed out at the playoff final might be interpreted in several ways......... Not sure whose ball it is..... Not sure this is a smart move by the Fake Enema brothers and could backfire with more pettiness

Predict The Final 2016 Pl Table!?
Fenway Bleachers replied to uwjxovlxokzm's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Ippo look like a playoff team to me and maybe Bobby Charlton, eh Gary Lineker no! Danny Olympic the world cup star can lead his team to some Bling if he stays fit and misses little. He might even win a few races are Armadale!!!! if he turns up . I'm sure Sam will look forward to it. I like Glasgow,Worky,Ippo Newcastle Sheffield and Monarchs for the playoffs. Bring it on. -
Absolutely George let me know where you will be at the Dale for the spring trophy thingy meeting and a bottle of your choice will appear just before monarchs first 5/1. !!!
-
nearly right george...and happy new year to you and yours, looking forward to more banter this year. it`s the fans who go and wedge up for the love of the club, the riders are entitled to ask the going rate for the danger they undertake with bonuses attached if they get lucky. we would not wish to screw anyone into poverty, where would team spirit go ?! of course some riders like certain clubs and the "arrangements" on offer so the odd "home town discount" may apply i don`t know...but riders have short careers and should seek to maximise income........we all would. With my blue specs on i might criticise anyone who appears deluded to the delights of the dale, but realistically we only have 7 jackets and others will need to ply their trade in more challenging places .

Cos he married a Caffrey and that opens all doors. Nuff said!

Stick to girlfriend in a coma......that was one of your better chants -
Yes..Mags is right we had to weaken to get within the points restriction,so of course we look weaker on paper. However its shale that matters and we have several improvers especially at home. Jye and the 3 point man are not likely to advance on averages, the other 5 have the ability to do so and Erik and Max hopefully by a fair bit. Gavan may be worried, but we accept our position and look forward with optimism.
-
Thought we were discussing Speedway and our difficulty recruiting a 3 pointer so far rather than descending into petty squabbles about some petty wee soccer match. Let's keep this to a sport dialogue please, pantos are on at the Kings

C,Mon the Hibbees!

Dont think Berwick will annoy us neP, it does give us a long tail. I expect erik and Max to push on but the new lads will take time to settle...so fair enough. hoping the return of Sir fish adds points to his average and entertainment is assured. granted we won`t be as good initially as we were in the last 2 seasons, but those were all conquering teams so with "weakening" inevitable to restore parity, we will rely more on our big hitters and sam to act as guide and mentor for jye. Looking forward to it, we wont suffer for lack of effort, team spirit or warm welcome from the terraces.
-
Welcome to JYE ....!!! We`ll need to do something with that Christian name as the locals might have a bit of bother getting the tongue round it. staying with sam and Tegan so they`ll point him to all points good and bad. Guess the no2 jacket should fit and he can follow sam round the place and get good tutelage. We have been pretty good with aussies and this should be another. Though we have better beer, just take a wee sip now and then.

Only if they come with Paulco on one arm and George on the other Scots

For anyone sober in the Possilpark area can I recommend the current Panto playing at the State de le Weegie performed by the Facenna Thespians. The production goes by "The Wizard of Baws" title acted out on the Yellow Sick Road. Spud Summers plays Dorothy as his was the best hair fit. He looks resplendent in red and white striped mini skirt and Pink Dr Martens. Ben Barker is a natural scarecrow in search of a brain. Stewart Dickson plays the tin foil man looking for a ticker and Dicky Lawson as the feckless lion...out on limited parole from Craig Cooks back pocket. Nick Morris has a brief cameo as the Wicked Witch. (Boo!) and Michael Facenna plays the great Oz promising everyone a safe trip to the promised land if only he can plead with the Kings from the East. The production is pants but the highlights of the evening were the Bucky and Bridie combo served at the interval by some clown in a Tigger suit, and the smell of something sweet being smoked in the gents cludgy. Be sure to wander along if you can. Season tickets are not eligible. Car parking a snip at a tenner, with the under age attendants charging double if you don't want the side of your vehicle autographed by the cast Merry Christmas to all our friends from the West. Have a happy safe and healthy 2016, good luck with pursuit of the runners up spot again

Any Takers For The Elite League?
Fenway Bleachers replied to Hamish McRaker's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
NO -
Very handy team on papaer with heat winners all over the place and rising averages likely from all though Ricky less so at No 1. Like roynon at reserve and proctor a potential master stroke. Tough trips to DP likely for all , and especially us without Cookie. Glad we dont get you in the league cup now either.......

Having won the Quad in 2014 then last season's treble of course 2016 looks harder because we have to weaken to get to 42.5 and in theory give everyone a chance to catch up. That's the way the sport is structured. Fisher is not directly replacing Cook because no one can and he would not be expected to. Sam wears 1 for a good reason and will be fine, especially at home. Sedgy can't be replaced because he was a heatleader in disguise and we are only allowed 3. Still Erik and Max should improve,Sam and Ryan have some fractions to add and we will be competitive again. Let battle commence......maybe this season Gavan Danny Olympic might win races at our place? Or maybe not....
