  1. Think the reserves give the home team an advantage, though Robbo is always great entertainment at the dale. Cookie vs King should be interesting......assuming Sedgy doesn`t beat both...
  2. Sorry orion, I guess it`s a matter of opinion and we don`t agree but leicester (and a few other EL teams as stands) would get beaten at Armadale, and in leicesters case hammered..... Beyond Doyle (whose record at Armadale aint great) the other 4 of the top 5 would struggle, stead and Klindt would struggle to win any race, just look at Steads performance a few weeks ago, and the reserves would be fodder, though the fast track arrangement makes that comparison unfair. I think the comparison given the watering down of the EL standard this year is difficult to judge, just a pity the old inter league cup is no more as outwith KL and Poole I`d fancy embra at home to anyone else.
  3. Not sure Leicester would smash Edinburgh to bits Orion, even over 2 legs?
  4. Maybe DP had run out of morphine? Howarth has not recovered yet from his dose.....
  5. Poor team management by the Aussies. Why did Lemon let Woodward loose in Heat 13? Amazing oversight, was he in the loo or buying a burger at the time ?
  6. Better still, save the petrol money, buy some nice beer, scran and get a good seat on the sofa, saves any aggro, hair loss and agitation, YOU KNOW IT MAKES SENSE !!!!
  7. But last nights meeting was gate and go to the extreme, with no passing after 2nd bend of 1st lap, just ask Matej Kus.... there were some determined "chases" but not a hope in hades of passing, unless rider in front had ef, or made a howler, and even then little hope of getting past (fricke in heat 12) Even Lee Complin would have found last night impossible, tracks need some dirt, to give those behind a sniff. August 12 best watched on Tv rather than from the back straight............good luck pearson and tatum.....
  8. How do we hope to improve by blooding the younger less experienced brigade when we spit the dummy and do not get involved in the Euro Champs or pairs events???? Talk about cutting your own throat, in terms of progressing our talent or exposing its limitations,we choose to remain aloof and look down our noses at the very structure of competition we should bend over backwards to join. Isn't this typically Brit and stupid or have I got a blindfold on ? Best of luck to Steady but he should really be cutting the lemons for the team
  9. 60 against this team, Chewy i think you may have been smoking the `bacca!!!
  10. Keep debating guys, because it is well nigh impossible to compare different generations of teams in any sport. Suffice to say this is a great team to support and follow this year. We will get beat somewhere (one of the big tracks most likely, Somerset, EOES, or even Worky if the find an ambulance). but until then be afraid PL fans because we might be coming to do you next.
  11. Soon is an entity lawyers dine out on.... Glasgow believe the medics that Berge will return end of July, however that advice may have come from an ambulance in Workington, or from a well lubricated source in the Berwick area. You can never be sure with the Tiggers, best for Monarchs just to win the meeting I would say, Campton can guest and no excuses either way
  12. An assessed rider on a 5 point ave can have the 28 day facility extended as long as there is the prospect of returning soon. Glasgow seem to have exercised this facility, which seems fair. Bring it on, and hope weather behaves.
  13. Isn`t Cookie heading for the GP challenge semi in Gorican?? R/R for the monarchs won`t weaken us very much at the `dale though.
  14. Come on the Comets......7 doses of that wonderful Cumbrian opiate and this should be a walk/smoke in the park.
  15. Carlsberg don`t do speedway meetings, ambulances, morphine or abandonments. BUT IF THEY DID.........they would get spilled at Workington.
  16. Terrific comeback by lazarus howarth, glad to see his injury has improved, with no lasting bother. looks like the Cumbrian morphine is real GOOD stuff. can I send my drugs clinic clientele down on saturday ???
  17. The West Cumberland Hospital with 24 hour A&E and orthopedics is in Whitehaven. Similar it would seem to St. Johns in Livingston. If the county ambulance was 66 minutes away makes you wonder just how far that was in terms of miles. Any poor sod with an MI or stroke in the Workington area on that Saturday night was in trouble. Is the ambulance provision really that desperate? Cumbrian's protest or MOVE!
  18. No jenga, the Geordie's get their fingers out organize the hospital option and get back to the meeting. Looks like better organization to me.
  19. Hey Ippo check your own glass house before breaking our windows...... Cookie can be petulant and is "struggling" at 5 with BV, I`d agree. No-one enjoys losing and there is a certain decorum with sprotsmanship in dangerous sports like ours. No big deal if Cookie turned round rather than high five Ritchie and Tungate, i`m sure Ritchie will rib him on Monday in the Bv pits, as he would be entitled to. Still some bad blood after last years handbags with Ben Bonkers I see, which is a pity. Nevermind, if we meet in the playoffs Cookie will be sure to snog the main stand, and all available wall heaters, if requested in writing beforehand. 5 points from our 2 meetings is very acceptable
  20. Think you are holding the cue the wrong way round CB, Sheff/badnits are sparring in the KO Cup not the league variety. Though we need others to comment as I`m not an expert on cups.......
  21. No point having a big hitter at No. 1,if you cough up a 5/1. in heat 2. Diamonds look to have a long tail with only the Robbo and Kerr duo capable of regular heat advantages. See ya Friday.....
  22. pity..... guess that means more edinburgh riders will be sent to the fence, just as well the airbags are now compulsory! N`est ce pas??
  23. MMMMmmmm. George, don`t you think agents Wolbert and Pijper are keeping their throttle arms warm, "manipulating" their averages downwards, before returning "home" in 2015 or after. Makes sense don`t you think??
  24. I`m sure Nick Morris is still at the OTA and Scrabbleman is at Workington, though lanham has not been fixed up yet.
