Having looked at the riders in the first two rounds, Jack Holders main issue is being slow out of the gate. Will need to work on his starts for the elite league. Brady struggled with set ups in the first round but was better last time. He can certainly get out of the gate well. Davey Watt has always been hit and miss out of the gate but has looked focused and much more consistent. Think Masters in round 2 has been the most impressive so far although sedgy has looked much better than I saw him ride when I visited the UK. In terms of Gavan, it was fair to raise the question on the Poole 2 and would worry more on Jack settling than Brady. Am at Kurri Kurri so will be interested to see progress. Also being fair to Gavan a few years ago he questioned the ability on Magic to step up but then acknowledged he was wrong and how impressive he had been. Let's keep it all in perspective and focus on the speedway rather than personal stuff Having looked at the riders in the first two rounds, Jack Holders main issue is being slow out of the gate. I guess Wolves had to emerge from the bottom of the league at some point. How about having no points limit next season and you can have any seven riders you like.....oh no couldn't do that as most promotions make losses and want to water the league down unlike the forever hammered Matt Ford. Hopefully people aren't blind to the fact that the low points limit and quality of rider is due to the clubs struggling to run in the EL. Will be interesting to see what the EL looks like next year, if there is one as have heard bees won't run in EL and Aces/Leicester have made big losses!
-
You give them credit Crazy Robin as they are out. I think half the people on here never go to speedway as you only need to look at the teams to realise it was a mismatch. A GP rider is swapped for reserves and people said Poole were stronger, he is one of the top 8 riders in the world and am sure he could adjust to a technical track. Tungate for peddlo was much of a muchness both PL heat leaders. I guess your title says it all though CRAZY robin!!!

am waiting for the moaning as bees fans love that!! Suggest if you want entertainment go to see the brummies rather than the bees
-
It's funny any other team and riders are in hospital and concern is raised for the rider for Poole it's a plan!!! At least it will go silent on here as Poole are out and you lot have nothing to moan about. Get ready for all the fake praise of Poole which has already started with Crazy Robin!! At least stick to your approach the rest of the year where you hate Poole everything about them is wrong, they cheat, they own the rule makers at BSPA etc. I can see why Poole fans get so defensive as its non-stop abuse of the team they love. Just wish the brummies could have stayed at EL as I could start posts on all the things overlooked that are done by other clubs!!!

Wow I realised Poole were unpopular but some of the rubbish written here is priceless. A Poole rider wins a race and it's unfair or cheating. It's Holder and 2 reserves against a strong wolves team only one outcome. I haven't seen one reference that wolves replaced a missing rider with a GP rider in Harris whilst Poole lose their second heat leader who is a GP rider then replace him with RR so mainly two reserves but are somehow much better off. Any how it's a Wolves v Belle Vue final. Thanks to those pirates tonight who made Wolves fight for it and unlike all the haters on here I wish the Poole fans a good close season and I will see some of you next season. I follow the brummies but like to watch the occasional elite league match so travel to Dorset rather than head to the local midlands teams

It's not ratified yet, a lot of talk that with 2 years out his average should be re-assessed. They haven't broken any rules but I wonder if a change mid season much like the season when the number of play-off teams got reduced will occur. Personally it will be good to see Tai racing although I wish they had introduced a squad system years ago. I would also have a draft system for the top 10 or so riders so every team gets a real number 1. I still think the Aces will win the league with Wolves as the other finalists. Think Poole and Swindon will make the play offs.

Could Woffy Be Making An El Return?
Gloves replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Speedibee when Tai's character is hammered on here all things should be considered. Doing work for and raising money for charity should always be commended in my view. If you think differently good luck to you but these charities help many people often relying on donations and well known people publicising their cause. Before you respond with another post about what I can and can't post, don't worry I won't post again or stay on this forum. As it'll it's full of nonsense like I have been reading life is too short. What's wrong with British speedway... It's the supporters who are just so negative all the time. Good luck all and goodbye -
Could Woffy Be Making An El Return?
Gloves replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
My issue with Tai is that for a long time he actively promoted how much he did for British speedway and a number of his actions such as not riding in the uk, missing the British final seem to suggest the opposite. Whilst I am not someone who will cheer for him as its my choice paying my entry fee, I certainly would not boo him as every rider deserves respect as they put their life and well being on the line every time they race. Where I am impressed with Tai is the work he has done to raise money for charity and like all speedway riders backs and supports riders who have had life changing accidents e.g. Darcy Ward. -

Swindon 2016 - A New Era Starts...we Thought..
Gloves replied to dump that clutch's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Crazy Robin - if you go on the Speedway GP website it looks like Buszcowski is not on the heat leader list, so is classed a second string which I admit is different to the bournemouth echo article but it does make you think abit. Buscowki's average is below 6.5 which was listed as minimum for heat leaders unless they were new riders or on the hidden original heat leader list. Hans is most likely on the heat leader list but could potentially start at 2 or 4 in the order. Also before I get hammered by posters, am not a Pirates supporter, long time brummies fan but I do read all the articles on speedway gp. To be clear the one saying Buzz is a second string can be read on the following link: http://speedwaygp.com/news/article/4582/poole-confirm-magic-exit -
Davey Watt is a good committed rider who is loyal to the EL, think he would make a great third heat leader in any team.
-
Surely Iversen will ride for Lynn next season or if as stated the Peterborough assets are with Matt Ford will Poole look to use him if Holder doesn't ride?
-
Poole looking at Kildermand to step in for Janowski if he decides not to ride for Poole next season.
-
My understanding is that the heat leader pool for next season is based on the top 3 riders from each team as at the end of the season (e.g the heat leaders for each team at that point in time). So if Andersen was top 3 for the bees he is in that pool. All GP riders are in that Pool and any assessed riders who come in on 6.5 whether from the PL (if it's possible) or from overseas leagues. Seems a pretty straightforward call to me.

Poole Vs The Aces For The Title
Gloves replied to Crazy robin's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
What a fantastic final, two great legs ridden in great spirit by both teams. Two great sets of fans (contrary to what's written on here and this is from a brummies fan). So impressed with Cook over the two legs and definitely something for the Aces to build around going forward. Definitely a very bright future for the Aces and this years effort can be used to inspire them to the championship next year. Well done to the Pirates, you host a great meeting as I witnessed tonight. Magic is some rider and the dedication to DW 43 by the Pirates and the Aces made me very proud as a speedway fan. Two great teams who I wish all the success to for next season. -
I guess the banter given about Rosco sacking Howarth a british rider is not really about him not doing the right thing by his club but actually that he has repeatedly made comments about others not looking to develop british talent and also made some comments when Poole axed Howarth. Now he has done the same thing surely it can't be a surprise that people are now going to say the same about him.
-
Congratulations to Swindon on the average manipulations as they can now have ward and an other in the team. Hope Batchelor recovers from a nasty crash at the GP to ride again soon. It won't be a surprise to see his average soon move back to 8!!! If the Poole Pirates had pulled this move the forum would be going crazy with cheating allegations however because it's another team namely the Robins I guess it's regarded as ok. Another dark day for the sport.

King's Lynn Vs Poole 1st July
Gloves replied to Star Lady's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Really good meeting and have to say can we have more meetings on sky when either Poole or Coventry are the away team. Lambert was awesome tonight, Poole tried hard but we're not good enough throughout the team. Whilst it was a good advert for speedway neither of them are good enough to win the league as Coventry Bees are miles better throughout the team. Will make it a tough decision for the bees on who to pick in the play-offs as its an easy win against either of these two. Ps Gavan grow up, Poole are on sky and mentioned a lot as they have won the league the last two years and are good entertainment I can see that as someone who doesn't even support them. Next you will go back to your rants of the past about Janowski not being good enough. -
Surely Robins fans don't want Darcy Ward in their team after all the criticism they have made about him on this site!!! I reckon he is going to Lakeside.
-
It's funny how views change! Fans of elite league teams viewed Darcy Ward as a rider they disliked a lot, he then has the incident at the GP and gets banned. Loads of fans want him banned from anything from two years to the rest of his career excluding the Pirates fans who in the main supported him. Yet now he seems like the saviour to loads of teams who all want him to ride for them!!!!
-
Rumour doing the rounds late last night was that whilst ward wouldn't get a 2 year ban he is likely to be banned for the 2015 season (so about 14 months total). Certainly would send a message and a fairly pragmatic ban.
-
Jack Holder would get exactly the same starting average as Robert Lambert did at the beginning of last season which I think was 3. He would be the weakest top 5 rider in the teams so am not sure why anyone would worry. Its a risk to say the least
-
I like the look of the Aces team this year, think they will challenge for the play-offs. Other two that look strong so far are the bees and stars.
