What about having an average limit stating that the British rider stays at reserve until his average is over a certain value and providing his average is in the top 5. Another rule like this wouldn't make it whole lot more complicated than it already is. I was just trying to think of a rule that would benefit British riders as there are PL teams that don't have British riders in their lineups and there are a few NL riders that could line up at reserve for them.

They should wipe the slate clean with regards to rules and start again as it is far too confusing for any newcomers. There should be rule on a minimum number of British riders in PL teams and each EL team must have at least 1 at reserve.

The cheering was because the opposition rider had fallen while leading (Ben Morley had just passed Dan Halsey to take the lead) in an important heat which Mildenhall went on to get a 5-1 in. Mildenhall couldn't afford a 3-3 and so their supporters were simply delighted at Morley losing the lead. I can't believe supporters that want to see a rider get hurt but unfortunately there are some out there. There is nothing wrong with supporting your team but cheering when there is a big crash is disgusting.
