Poole stadium is council owned but is leased to StadiaUK who then sub let to Poole Speedway. AFAIK the track is usually only available on race days.

I watched the U21 yesterday on satellite TV, have to say that I got bored with it and switched off when Piotr Pawlicki got enough points to win the series. Because of the size of the track, after the first bend they were all spread out. I will still be tuning in for the Golden Helmet as it always seems much better with the extra riders on track.

Easter weekend is not a good day for trains, from my location 5 miles east of Southampton to Poole. Train to Woolston - Bus to Southampton Central - Bus to Bournemouth - Train to Poole. Time - 2+ Hours. Southampton Central is closed all weekend.

I think British Eurosport will have Elitserien Speedway, they were happy with the viewing figures for the GP's and they are now showing live the Ice Speedway Gladiators GP from Assen this weekend. Sat. 7pm, Sun 6.30 pm, and repeats during the week.

British Eurosport 2 will show Ice Speedway from Assen Sat. 8th March @ 7pm Day 1 Sun. 9th March @ 6.30pm Highlights of Day 1 @ 7pm Day 2

I have been watching Swedish Speedway for a number of years with a motorised satellite system, they put out 2 feeds, 1 Swedish and the other has just track sounds, this is the one I watch. As they are not encrypted it is legal to use the feeds.

When Rob Lyon quit Middlo did not charge in as quoted by SCB. Middlo reluctantly took the job under pressure from the BSPA because nobody else would do it. Who will do the job in his place ? whoever takes it on can only use the riders available and they are either near the end of their career or still in the Premier League. There are some good riders coming up through the ranks but it will need 4 or 5 years before they are good enough.

As far as I know the Smart HD card will only work in a Satellite Receiver that can accept Conax cards and a dish pointing to the Hotbird Satellite at 13 deg East.
