didn't go this year , but yes it always comes across as a good show well done greg I really wanted tai to win but who can begrudge the old boy yet another win how does he do it , the only thing that let it down for me was that dickhead of a presenter , scott and crumpie were ok but that guy he is just a moron , have to say though I went to the pairs meeting on Friday that was a proper speedway meeting,i know it couldn't happen but imagine a GP on that Track !!
cant understand why tai gets so much stick he is now a class act as he has proved in the last two Gps , who would bet against him keeping his crown , that would be the first time a brit has ever done that , as for the elite lets not kid ourselves its been dead for the last 5 years the top boys just use it to test and get a bit of practise
Totally agree nicki puts bums on seats , as did briggo, fundin ,mauger, etc what worries me is who will replace nicki when he retires, the vast majority of riders are gating tarts, imagine a gp series with 16 bjarne pedersons no thanks
I went to the first ten gps in Cardiff and to begin with the entertainment was really good its got worse year on year , what with that and the rip off hotels cashing in, its cheaper to go to Poland and the racing is better,
The old radipole lane track in Weymouth holds fond memories for me along with, Wembley , hyde rd the best ever,
and hackney, I wish my local track (poole) was half as good as those
I see emil has pulled out of Saturday , the titles Tai s to loose now, I think he will use his head he dosnt have to win the meeting just get a double figure score , good luck tai stay safe!!
the trouble is most of todays top riders could not ride a proper track will dirt on it , so gating is paramount, I.M.O the lack of well prepared tracks is whats killing the sport, more and more meetings are becoming boring ,inc the gps, I thing each track should be prepared with a certain amount of dirt on it and if the start tarts don't like it go and race a road bike
