  1. it was better than the Peterborough meeting for sure I just have a gut feeling that this season is over for us alreadyShame if it is would like to have gone out on a high if this is (as many are saying) this is our last season
  2. Progress in the cup will be difficult if we produce a similar performance today too
  3. the old national league is the way we should be heading British and commonwealth riders only no guests no double ups no overseas commitments
  4. theres a few others who faced with the same choice would do the same That's why there's a strong possibility of no speedway at Berwick next year
  5. third bend obviously didn't approve they were dressed in chemical suits and one had a helmet on Did they have a dust allergy ? Or did they want to start a new fashion trend
  6. yeah more money being put in than coming in Speedway is dying slowly
  7. a practice start then back to pits not a very long look
  8. the longer they are involved in speedway there will be more things than rain on Sunday's to make them 'fed up'
  9. fair analysis I'd say Still think even with their full team Glasgow won't beat Edinburgh in a two leg playoff final
  10. Ah well good while it lasted Obviously the supporters opinions aren't being listened too
  11. can you explain why three of the supporters where you stand were dressed in chemical suits ?From my vantage point they looked like three idiots in those suits Then I realised its not the suits
  12. the old national league contained only British and commonwealth riders and no foreign riders were allowed to ride NL (until Rye house found a loophole and signed Dane Jens Rasmussen)Riders only rode in Britain no foreign commitments to take them away from their club No guest riders were allowed This worked well and I can remember mocking the British league calling it the British guest league Berwick's most successful team contained seven Brits The NL worked well it was a large and successful league untill 1990 Then a man had a plan The British league was small (10 teams at the time) Amalgamation was proposed and agreed and the NL died The man responsible was a NL promoter who I have no doubt would have taken his team BL without amalgamation The man was Mervyn Stewkesbury His team was Poole The NL of today bears a lot of resemblance to the NL of old Maybe Berwick ,and other teams, should look to joining that league to survive
  13. lets hope not it was a real pleasure to see the bikes lined up once again And the argument that you can't have mascots with the bikes out on parade was shown to be false too This type of parade needs to continue the fans want it and like it
  14. Seems that the paying public have got their wish BIKES ON PARADE ARE BACK !!!!! Thank you Berwick Speedway for listening and giving us, the supporters, what we want well done Bandits 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
  15. hopefully the promotion continue with the bikes on parade as its well liked by the crowdSent email to club to thank them for this change of heart regarding meeting parade and would encourage others to do so too ! seems they have listened to what the paying public want and should be congratulated for doing so and not ignoring what the fans want Well done Bandits 👏👏👏👏👏
