I think there is a case of Maciej, Fricke are on par with Lebedevs, Kvech etc based on recent form, and its not like the door is closed forever on riders not in it this year. I think some of them thought they had it pretty easy and were relying on a wildcard every year, maybe this is the push they need

i cant imagine it made much different to attendance whatsoever.

Best bet is to do something with the fans during the interval where they could potentially win something, tickets to the next meeting or something like that. cuts down on paying for anything else and depending on what it is, keeps the fans in the crowd entertained
