Your right. Global average for the number of customers visiting a single McDonalds each day is 1800.

The Leicester Stadium was built with racing taking place a few years before the dumping of earth took place. This action was fully controlled & compliant with the required regulations. The other uses (football & BMX) could still use the “raised” land for their sport but these have not been forthcoming. The money raised paid off the loans for the building of the stadium and if anybody with spare land wishes to raise money in a similar way then developers would love to hear from you as getting rid of earth is always a challenge.

That would definitely create a sell out plus a world wide TV deal that the whole of UK speedway could live off for decades!

Can anybody provide a reliable idea on how Ipswich would be able to afford both Jason D and Emil S ?

A beneficial owner is a person who enjoys the benefits of ownership even though the title to some form of property is in another name. It also means any individual or group of individuals who, either directly or indirectly, has the power to vote or influence the transaction decisions usually by owning 25% or more of voting rights related shares.

No, not in recent years. Also worth noting the Leicester track is currently getting a serious update for next season.

I agree a trust can be created from scratch - everything has to start somewhere (and I speak as a current trustee of a significant trust fund) - but restrictions on being able to create sufficient income on an ongoing basis severely restricts the concept of a trust raising sufficient funds to continue to provide the levels of cash to buy/develop speedway stadiums as suggested by the original poster which was to provide funds on a wider scale than just one facility i.e. Brandon. Regarding charity status, The suggestion is not that the stadiums themselves would be a charity. That would be the status of the "Speedway Society" akin to any "building Society" - As for tax, you are correct, trusts benefit from various unique tax advantages however, like building societies to be tax efficient to the benefit of its members, a speedway society should also be none profit making having ensured any capital raised higher than total cost is "gifted" or "invested" prior to the end of an applicable financial period and thus reducing the tax burden. Of course on top of this the charity would benefit from specific tax break applicable to charities.

Seems strange that this does indeed look the to be the likely case. Can anybody shed any real reason(s) why this is so? i.e. Asking for too much money, Average too high/low or reliability issues etc etc. Would be god to have any answers based on fact rather than negative biased "opinion" Overall from a fans perspective. It would be sad to see him (a British) rider missing from PL action.

A very good idea in principle - raising money to acquire/develop speedway venues & something which has most probably been thought about on a number of previous occasions but maybe worth exploring further in this current climate. On a point of clarification, rather than a trust (that looks after something already created) the formation of a "society" (by definition a body organised to raise funds for projects relating to literature, science or charity) would be more appropriate, aka Nationwide Building society which is a foundation charity. The "Speedway Society" would be able to attract investors (members) to create the initial fund eventually supported by profits from the sale or operation of assets which in turn provides a return of interest/dividends to its members.

There is a pool of willing talent available in the UK. The problem is the promoters are unwilling to turn on the conveyor belt for any length of time to get the talent sufficiently developed. -
Should the OAP discount be scrapped?

To be exact. In the original novel folk were killed off “voluntary” in a sleepshop via a nice gas at 21. This was changed in the spin off film where the population were despatched via the carrousel at 30. Whichever age is adopted, both actions would see the removal of the majority of todays speedway supporter. -

In Logans run when a person reached the age of 21 they were willingly executed via a pleasure-inducing toxic gas. Guess speedway folk would recognise that as the aroma of burning Castrol R40 -

Must have been an IT glitch when you looked cuz it’s still there now -
Not too much involved in actual "permissions" being required as the buildings are not listed & BE own the property. They will need to follow strict laws regarding the demolishing of buildings containing asbestos and the subsequent disposal of. None of this will be news to Brandon Estates. The cost of completely clearing the site ready for "new build" would be circa £million which of course they would need to do at some time or another, but there isn't the need to do it now so they will sit on their cash. Site security would still be a requirement for BE to "remain" compliant with the RBC order to prevent temporary homes being set up on the site. Bottom line is - expect to see nothing change on-site except most probably better site security.

Isn’t he already a member of “The Club” by being owner/promoter of Sheffield? -

Unless Covid or similar bites again there’s very little chance of the Leicester promotion going from profit to loss next year. -

The lux levels projected by the current lights are too low for TV coverage once the sun begins to set. The improved lighting will enable more flexibility in planning for Lions fixtures to be considered throughout the season rather than being limited to the short period of weeks when maximum daylight hours prevail. -
Agreed. Unfortunately two wrongs don’t make a right.

Economically, a four month regular season wouldn’t be sufficient.

Are you saying current engines rev quicker higher than the electric equivalent which would/could cause problems by the electric motors not being powerful enough to cut through/move grippy surfaces?
-
Clearly an experiment for a new format for next years play -offs. Idea is to give teams a chance of beating the club that scored most points during the regular season. (Some would call that team “the league winners”) Under the new format the team that finishes the season with most points gets to choose their semi-final opponent. Then should they overcome this hurdle, they will ride the first leg v the winners of the other semi final at their place before holding the second leg on a neutral track. Of course this is only a joke as any sport that wishes to be taken seriously & considered professional would never propose such a ludicrous scenario. - or would they?
