  1. That is out of order! Its not as if Plymouth has had the support it needed this year either and you wouldnt even have finished the season if your promotion hadnt been bailed out. You got what you wanted your playoff spot now leave off these guys!
  2. Ahh I wondered how many others knew bout that, thats assuming we have both been told the same thing.
  3. There were no incidents on the track, guess he came back too soon!
  4. I read the post you are referring to as an opinion and it should be treated as such. This is a forum where people are entitled to their opinion, if you dont agree then by all means debate it but it isnt for YOU to tell someone to STOP when they were just giving their view! I wasnt at the meeting so wont comment on what Wright might or might not have scored
  5. Yes i was there and i did see it. I made the comment before that meeting but it was one of the only times in 2 years that it has happened so you were priviledged to be there that night and witness it!
  6. Past connections? I have no idea what you and ancient mariner are on about when you say that. I think you are very much mistaken with my identity!
  7. Do they really get on well with him? Oh well I wont listen to what Ive been told then. I will just take your word for it as you are always right. I used to be a genuine supporter and travel to watch the team, things change and Im entitled to my views as are you and no I dont have a personal issue with the manager just because I don't think he comes across well
  8. Well this usual suspect is here and as I have always said, I give praise where its due, hence my post congratulating their win However, I will take your bait and state that I have not changed my mind one bit on the promotion. I thought it was particularly poor that the manager had to return to the centre green after making his announcement of the new signing to thank the Devils on Tour for their financial input in allowing it to happen. I wouldn't have thought he should have needed reminding to thank them publicly, should have been almost the first thing he said.
  9. Oh dear, perhaps you would have got your prediction had Simota been in heat 15 Lots of puzzled looks around us when Newman was named in favour of Simota! Well done Devils on the win. Knew Sam would come good in the end. Congrats also to Craig Cook, who with the exception of heat 1, was in a class of his own.
  10. You might well see Newman win a race or two at the SBA but I very much doubt you will witness him team riding, as I have yet to see it happen Being a Poole fan though you must know that. His team mate made it very clear in this weeks Speedway Star what he thought of his lack of team riding at Swindon. Yet Newman complained on Sky when Gomolski did a similar thing, bit hypocritical!
  11. Newman never looks for his partner and usually gets in their way. Seen it time and time again at plymouth over the last 2 years. Said himself when interviewed just now, he likes to be infront with fresh air infront of him!
  12. Good post Opinionated. I expressed my concerns of the promotion/management on the plymouth forum well over 12mths ago and guess what I got banned. It is interesting to see the few posters that actually contribute to the forum and defended them previously are also now losing their patience Perhaps if more people had voiced their concerns earlier instead of voting with their feet and not attending and the die hards just putting up with the shambles, then plymouth wouldn't be in the position it is now in!
  13. Er no, i have no idea who opinionated is but i do know from talk on the terraces that we are by far alone with our criticisms. At least i still pay my £15 to go and watch each week, in the hope that speedway will continue in plymouth and hopefully be improved next season, so as far as im concerned im entitled to my opinion
  14. So you are happy with the team are you and the way the current promotion handle things? When they took over they said how things would be much improved from the previous promoter, particularly communication with fans..well that remains to be seen. Even the die hard fans on the Devils forum appear to have lost faith with the current promotion Perhaps Opinionated is much like myself and gives praise where its due, aint much reason to sing their praises at the moment is there? I can understand the negativity, not much to be positive about. What team do you support? I wonder how positive you would be in similar circumstances!
  15. Plymouth being let down at reserve again! After Simotas 1st race thought he might have regained his form at last!
  16. Lewy, genuine question. Do you know the reason why Fisher didn't ride in heat 15 on thursday and why Risager is at 5 again, makes for a very weak heat 13.
  17. Probably for the same reason I do beause im a speedway fan and enjoy good racing. I stopped calling myself a Plymouth fan 5 years ago. I used to follow the Devils home and away but lost respect for the former promotion and the current promotion have done little to restore my faith I have visited the majority of tracks in this country and I believe the SBA provides the best experience of racing of all the tracks I have visited, therefore I dont consider it to be a waste of money when i go. The fact that I consider myself a neutral means my opinions are not as biased as those expressed by yourself. I give praise where I feel its justified and im not afraid to give criticism. So pleased that Morten has turned his season around, I had hoped Sam would have done the same now hes at reserve but unfortnately I feel its time for him to go and I would love to see Ashley back.
  18. makes a change for me to talk crap Lewy, you're usually the one that does alot of that!
  19. Plymouth didnt win the meeting, peterborough threw it away im afraid.
  20. So he should be over it and good for double figure score this week then!
  21. Not sure it was totally down to that. When interviewed Morten attributed his improved performance to advice he had been given by Brian Andersen during the week. As said by Pennycross, he always gives good, honest interviews. Still dont understand why he wasnt the captain? Oh yeah forgot this is Plymouth and they named the captain before they had even signed any other riders!!
  22. Be interesting to see what the attendance will be like for this. Saturday is change over day and alot of holiday makers will be heading home and the FA cup on at 5.30. Weather forecast not particularly promising either. Sure it would have been a bigger attendance if there had been a meeting tonight
  23. Seeing fisher and newman continually get in each others way in heat 15 last night wasnt particularly good to watch. Rarely does Fisher look for his partner and several times this year already he has in fact messed his partner up so no i dont find him good to watch.
