Is Lewis Blackbird out for the rest of the season or is he hoping to be back?
-
is getting worryingly close to the play offs and so many fixtures still to be raced. Would the play offs be put back a week if a lot still to be raced?
-
Think on form over last couple of weeks, A play off with King's Lynn, Poole and Coventry in would be great as all got good home and away form in the league. its harder to guess who out of Lakeside, Eastbourne and Swindon will get that final spot but looking at meetings to come and form, I am going to go for Lakeside

Eastbourne V Coventry 16/08/2014
Sienna Ryan replied to Woz01's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Coventry looked one of the strongest teams I have seen at Eastbourne this year and that was with them depleted. imagine what they could have done at full strength. If Eastbourne make the play offs, they will not be able to grade as much on sky so don't think they will want to get either Poole who drew with them early on sky or Coventry who got a point with uneven grading and half a team -
Swindon V King's Lynn (21/08/14)
Sienna Ryan replied to em1500uk's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Hopefully Swindon will bounce back from their defeat yesterday. Feel though if they are to get a win against a strong King's Lynn team they will not only have to up their game but also lose some of the negativity as can't be helping them with team spirit. This should be a good meeting -
I do feel sorry for Poole and their fans as the team have worked hard to get to where they are in the table and Darcy Ward has really let them down at the worst possible time

I am a neutral and support speedway rather than a team. Having watched last night's meeting, I think things have been blown out of hand. Yes the ref did make some silly early exclusions at the gate, although how many of us have moaned on here before about riders wasting time at the gate and hating them going back in to the pit after a re start. However the exclusions for Morris touching the tapes in heat 1, exclusions for Nathan, Troy & Worrall falling off due to not being positioned correctly and then the exclusion for Morris causing the crash would have all been the same regardless of which ref or what track. after the first few heats it was no longer about the ref and more about the teams. When I have visited Brandon a couple of times this season the track has been a lot better than last night but personally it has not looked the worst track I have seen this year and was capable of producing some good racing. I think it wasn't the track but the attitudes of the teams that stood out for me. This is just my personal opinion but to me Swindon were poor last night (with exception of North & Simon) They were out done on the night and because of this and being shown up on the night, they had to make a bigger fuss about the track and the ref than needed. They seem to be missing any team bond which is very important in speedway. Batchelor doesn't like to ride on dusty track last night but has also complained on tv this year about having to ride on wet, slick, grippy or bumpy track when losing so what is it he wants? I have seen some good meetings by Swindon this year but was very disappointed by their negativity last night. Lets hope they get it sorted before their next meeting. Coventry seem to be getting better and have been impressed with them each time I have seen them home or away this year. They had 4 riders carrying injury (you could tell Jason was in agony) but they came together as a team, motivated and supported each other. I have liked their never give in attitude this year. Hope they make the play offs as looking good along with King's Lynn and Poole.

Pirates V Wolves - Weds 2nd July
Sienna Ryan replied to SteveLyric2's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Ward falling more lately and seems only a short time away before he really damages his leg. wouldn't he be best to have couple of months out to fix it rather than risk damaging it for good -
As a neutral and somebody who doesn't post very often, I would just like to congratulate the Coventry riders who put up a good fight and should be very proud of the effort and commitment they showed. There was only ever going to be one result when you put a full team with GP riders against a PL team but yet Bees put up a fight and showed spirit. Very impressed with Garrity who showing why the fast track works

I feel for Birmingham Speedway. even last year when they had a brilliant season, they still never seemed to have big crowds. Maybe open days or promoting at events will bring new people to Birmingham speedway, fan forums to see what is making people stay away. did fans prefer it went Birmingham were in the PL?

Eastbourne V Coventry Select 17th May
Sienna Ryan replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
it was bad when you could tell which gates the home riders were coming out of by the grading. I support speedway rather than a team but Eastbourne is one of the tracks I no longer go to due to this and the length of the meetings -

Eastbourne V Coventry Select 17th May
Sienna Ryan replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
A meeting that was one of the worst adverts for British speedway (and Eastbourne's pockets & averages I'm guessing) really feel for Bees fans tonight as Garrity, Hans and Harris would have scored more than the guests tonight and feel the bees would have pushed Eastbourne close. really sad to watch -
Poole Pirates Vs Coventry Bees 21/5/2014
Sienna Ryan replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
This could be a tough one as Coventry very good away but Poole very good at home esp with Ward is back. Bees have been one of the most exciting teams to watch against Poole this season. Agree though that Hansen hadnt had the same excitement since this meeting and Fisher's move to heat leader is going to be tough. Shame this isn't televised as last meeting between them was one of the best on sky this season. Strange how the fixtures are when Coventry will have raced at Poole twice now yet Poole havent been to Brandon yet. -
Count me in. Brandon has been one of the best venues I have visited over the years. It would be heartbreaking to the sport in general if Coventry were lost to speedway. Do agree though that alot of fans no longer use the bsf site and tend to set up their own facebook or twitter pages so may be more useful doing something on there too as Coventry do have alot of passionate fans. Finding out who now owns the stadium would be first step and where Sandhu is with regards to finding a new venue/land for speedway. Petitions get noticed as well as we are seeing with Midenhall at the moment. The main thing is trying to find a way to get the council to agree that nothing can be built at Brandon until a new stadium in Coventry is in place for them. Or even better they stay at Brandon

Eastbourne V Coventry Select 17th May
Sienna Ryan replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I agree for some Eastbourne fans, its win at all cost but not all. There are Eastbourne fans on twitter that have stated that this fixture is an embarrassment to them and also the way Trevor Was boasting about booking Bridger first when against a heavily weakened team. They would rather have some entertainment rather than predictive boring races. Do agree though that its a shame fans won't get to see a true reflection of what the result could have been as think this could have gone either way with full teams -
Eastbourne V Coventry Select 17th May
Sienna Ryan replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
As a neutral I think it is a shame this meeting couldn't have been rearranged. Speedway is meant to be about entertainment. What is going to be entertaining or rewarding about seeing a 5-1 from two established 7pt plus riders over NL riders for most of the meeting. I feel sorry for both sets of fans. Firstly Coventry because they have one of the best away forms in the league and may have got something from this if had a full team. I believe Harris wasnt originally in GP (Gollob) was when fixtures were planned. Also I feel for Eastbourne fans as although this will be a easy 3 points before a wheel has turned, they are robbed of the excitement of watching a good meeting and also the pride of the win. Gonna be huge financial loss tonight for Eastbourne. Once again its the public that come last -
Wasn't it Swindon who didn't call this meeting off though even though been raining most of the day?
-
has always been one of the tracks he went best on

Swindon due to make a team change before Monday
-
As a neutral fan who likes both teams, I was very bored tonight. I have watched some great meetings over the years at Brandon but wasn't sure why there was so much dust covering the track tonight and yet nobody watering it between heats. Credit to Swindon for their gating tonight. However feel it was Coventry who beat themselves tonight. I have watched them away from home this season and they have been brilliant. all they needed was a bit of dirt tonight and they would have had the 3points. meeting became boring due to every race being from the gate. on a plus enjoyed Seeing Chris doing the presentations Hope the track is sorted soon as on away form the bees are contenders for the top 4

Who Should Be In Gb World Cup Team?
Sienna Ryan replied to bri1966's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Dont envy Neil in having to make this choice Personally I would pick Tai & Harris as both always give everything for team GB. Really wish Nicholls was riding as well Choicing the next two is more difficult Kennett, King, Bridger & Barker all have shown form this year but not always consistantly. Cook & Worrall in best form they have been so know they are capable Think for King's Lynn I would pick Worrall and Cook
