  1. Even when this is quoted from a Polish source (almost realiable), now we seem to be getting somewhere...
  2. Jouni Seppänen is the race co-ordinator for FIM, so FIM/he should know.
  3. Good. But interesting, since it was a federation press release that I used as a source and it clearly stated that Järf will be the only Finn.
  4. Tani out with an injury. Only Järf for the Finns in Strömsund.
  5. The meeting actually starts from the first scrutineering and ends after protest time finishes some amount of minutes after the last race. But in the FIM book I read last night, it mentioned that alcohol is prohibited in "competition only". Which MIGHT mean that it is OK to get hammered in a two day event on the evening of the first day...
  6. It's a difficult situation, if it goes like you said: FIM has nominated a Russian RIDER, not an FMN seed like in other disciplines. If it were a FMN seed, there would be no problem. Thats not apparently the case though.
  7. As always my own educated guess started to worry me, so this from last years book. You were closer. 3.3 THE INTERNATIONAL DISCIPLINARY COURT (CDI) 3.3.1 Composition For each case, the CDI is made up of 1 or 3 members appointed by the Director of the International Commission of Judges (according to Article 3.2.3). The Court may request the opinion of an expert or examine a witness whom it considers useful. 3.3.2 Competence The CDI will hear any appeals against decisions taken by an International Jury, the Race Direction or the Referee or, in the case of an International Meeting, By a FMNR following an appeal in first instance. The CDI adjudicates in first instance upon request of the International Jury, the Race Direction or the Referee or competent bodies. After a meeting, the President of the FIM, the Executive Board or the Board of Directors may, within 5 days, refer to the CDI all matters of violation or infringement to the FIM regulations, pursuant to Article 3.3.2, last paragraph. Violation or non-observance of FIM rules and regulations are referred in first instance to the CDI by the more diligent party.
  8. It's more than one. A few is closer and inaccurate enough to cover close enough.
  9. Latest dream on twitter 20 min ago simply states #wardtorace2015.
  10. Stop messing about. You were there, just spill the beans already!
  11. Humprey A, your turn... ...here we go again, for the umpteenth time!
  12. A bit odd (and stupid and un-pro IMO) that the FIM has changed the draw for this meeting from the first one released. First time I've noticed such in the almost ten years I've followed. EDIT: My faith in the system has been restored, since the SR for the said meeting clearly states SML has numbers 12 and 16. So it's apparently a copypasted mistake from an interner source,
  13. This I dont understand, and without a special agreement between the feds cant see happening. and if AMA has just left the building, agreement seems a bit iffy. = ) Anyway, always good to have atleast one bedrock-shaking legal battle going on behind the scenes... = ) LOL
  14. AMA or MA, no difference really, but the first thing distancing/breaking out themselves from FIM would mean, is that their riders would be out from FIM competitions...
  15. For many years (I was there 2004 and 2009) SGP was on the same week as some sort of a medical conference. Hotels were always booked that week. You had to have your trip sorted 6 months prior to have a selection of your bed. And even when you had some selection, it was from 150 euros double room upwards. It all adds towards the point, when you just decide that a 6pack and snacks on your own sofa is better.
  16. Grapewine states Hallsta quali has been postponed By a week.
  17. You are about seven months early with Challenge questions. First round of qualis is done in May.
  18. With Aakko out its most likely Tani and Järf. I have a source saying Järf really wants it and is prepared and backed, the other one saying not prepared enough. We'll see. Tani's goal was to get in the series this year, he said himself it all came a year early last winter. EDIT: Actually I have a federation press release saying those are the two names for the quali. Tomi Norola was third in the training camp meeting, perhaps he's the next in line if there are drop outs.
  19. Seems odd that your list only has 1 SML rider, since we actually have 2 places for the quali. We have #12 and #16.
  20. Upper tier tickets were just below 30 euros a couple of hours ago when I checked.
  21. Fim rule is 5 years granted, then a visual inspection and in most cases its 2 years more. After seven its scrap. UNLESS theres a FMN rule that says its good for longer. Like in the UK, the first six years are given.
