Finland is playing CZ at the moment in ice hockey. If they win, they play on saturday again. Either at 4 pm or 9 pm. From the 5 million that we are, 1,8 will be watching that match on TV.

There's a fund of somesort from where the FIM will for example pay money to the teams/FMN's that will travel to the U21 Team final at Mildura. The compensation for each team is quoted to be of a size, which makes the trip "worth doing". They distribute some money (please note I did not write THE money) to causes that they see putting the sport forward... Like more exposure and new/developing speedway countries. And I'm not saying all money goes there, but some. -
Patryk Dudek Tests Positive For Banned Substance

I had to laugh the first I heard of this, how can he be so stupid. But the fact is, that the Polish clubs have a pretty strong nut-hold on their riders so maybe some official in the club told him to do it... -
My forecast now says +12 with only 6% chance of rain. It was a LOT worse just 6 hours ago. Got to just wait and see I guess...

Where's Emil and what was all that about last week when Suzy was whining in Twitter about Euro Champ being a reserve? -
The official story has been changing alot since I heard it in mid Dec, but I was trying to highlight the fact that Aarnio had a lap time of two seconds faster than many of the GP heats. It's not the same track, just cant be. Aarnio is a top rider/racer over here, but he's not in the GP. Here's the scores from the test meeting Juha Hautamäki 3333 12 Timo Lahti 3233 11 Mika Loppi 2323 10 Tero Aarnio 3122 8 Jiri Nieminen 223R 7 Marko Suojanen 1311 6 Niko Siltaniemi 1112 5 Janne Nyman 0122 5 Joni Keskinen 0211 4 Niilo Vuolas 2001 3 Jooa Partanen R00N 0 U really expected Bydgoszxz 2013 like festival of speed and passing with that lot? Really, I should have stopped anyway at hamburg and beat some sense in to U with that chocolate bar...

Last year most of the riders did 69+ second heat times at Ratina. Tero Aarnio won the opening heat at the test meeting with 67,4. Hands up who thinks the track is the same shape?

Plenty of flak from riders recently is what the BSF is actually getting. I can understand some, but the reality is that whats said here "outloud", is the same rubbish and flak they've been getting for decades. They've just not been aware of it. Bottom line is to some extent, that the people giving flak here are the ones paying the tickets to get in at tracks. BSF works for me, I know now how to use it. Been 11 years. So thanks for keeping it going...

A big thank you, delivered the info.

So without the e and basically without the c... Anyone feeling the same? Thanks for the help... Good thing there are no new Poles in this one!

Anyone any idea under which license Schlein is on this year and how Fricke is spelled. We have no idea and my friend is on live tv in 40 minutes. Not spelled but pronounced! Only had one...

Reading rider interviews after Warsaw, many tell of their dislike of the green light start. Dont matter if its in the book, like KK said its never happened before, so why do it for the first time in a SGP. -

Ok, so you know. The way that Ole builds his tracks, is that the thickness of the track next to the white line is about 20 cm. On the outside it's somewhere between 80 cm to 100cm, closer to 80 cm. I can see some benefits putting a different base material (which can always be local, as it can be basically stones ranging between 20-40 mm for example) and some material will always be "lost" during taking down the track. But since most of the racing would be on the inner half of the track anyway, it would not (I dont know really?) make much sense to make a bottom layer of rocks for 10-35 cm and then 10 cm of top layer of speedway shale. ?????????? Like Phil says, it's about moisture, the base floor it's built on and how the moisture acts with the surroundings. This is what I think. It was a good post by someone earlier about covered football stadia with grass problems... If track building was easy, the ratio between good ones and bad ones would not be 70/30 for the bads, it would the other way around. This last is not about Ole's tracks but tracks in general where I've seen any. And if it's easy, I'm doing it daily in a few years time, you're all welcome! -

Mäkinen done really well in Lonigo. Says he was leading Lindback in his first until the last the last lap. Then messed up two of his starts (off 3&4). To take the win in his last also tells a lot. Good for him! -
What You on about? He's done his business the time I've been around.
-
That would equal to about 72k euros in ticket sales, just enough to cover prize and travel money. Maybe this format has a future after all?!

Jiri Nieminen to St Johann and Jari Mäkinen to Lonigo. -
Do you mean amongst the British speedway audience or something like amongst the British audience in general, as in the whole lot of you. There's a huge difference, and the firstly mentinoed really dont mean a thing.

Yeah well they wont do it for the 4th bend flagman or the guy who opens the pit gate! But like someone said, there are things some people do for the honour of being there. Two weeks in Oz building an SGP would be an adventure I'd be willing to take another cc for and max it out. -

Theres a good documentary probably on youtube about the Melbourne F1 GP that states the amount of man hours to make it happen. Someone will check and correct me, but I think they said it was ???k. Might do it for free if I were a fan, but would not move my ärse for under 35 euros an hour as an entrepeneur. MA is actually looking for volunteers at the moment for the Etihad GP. If they would pay for my flights, I'd do it for free. EDIT: watching snooker and checked myself. It was actually ONLY 290k. The link here:
