  1. As Twitter confirms, Finland will be there. Been an interesting day. I'm GLAD this was one sh!tstorm that I was not in the middle of... Is iris123 going to this one? A good team pic will get back cover.
  2. When I went on thinking about my post afterwards, i figured... - 100k for 6 complete bikes + spares. This is with top bits and PJR engines, GP stuff - 50k for a van and some diesel - 150k for other stuff and travel. In 2012 I attended a season afterparty for Timo Lahti that was for his sponsors. He said he had spent 120k during that year. Now with him being based in FINLAND, he rode in the Elite, Sweden, Finland, Poland and Denmark + GP qualis (he went all the way to the Challenge) and few other meetings around. Think he must have done about 70 meetings + about a dozen track days on top of that. Think it was 95k km on his van for the year, divide that with half so his van cost for the season was around 50k in euros. ALSO WORTH noting, that the said Timo Lahti survived from 2012 with atleast 3 complete bikes, top of the line van and a heap of spares...
  3. Info from the riders last year suggested that a season cost for an SGP rider was around 300000 euros. This included everything, including Elit and Ekstra maybe even Elite. Thats a lot of money, but not really if you are in the top 15 of a world wide sport. Like Emil is.
  4. Thought I read from Sportowefakty that even PZM now thinks it was all good as results were published. So no compensations for complainers.
  5. I've understood from Twitter that also Nicola Sands is leaving BSI Speedway... Media manager.
  6. Even UFC has rules. Team building rules for domestic leagues might be rubbishe and unnecessary, but you cant keep a global sport governed without racing rules. And therefor every referee that starts to make his own rules as things happen, should be kicked out of the sport.
  7. Longtrack Wc quali a few years back in France. At that point locals occupying the top placings to go through. The most legendary and not speedway related, a 5th division ice hockey game at my home town/village in late 80's early 90's. My team was winning by goal and 2 mins left. Visitors had a break through on the blueline, nobody in between the striker and goalie. The youngest son of the local vicker shut the lights out. No goal... No cockup there. They were given a penalty shot, cant remember what happened. Back to the Ostrow case, it might have been only half the stadia, and investigations were made. Cant remember what happened...
  8. Even with pun intended, they failed while home team was losing a Playoff match in 2013 or 2014.
  9. Thats good, biggest crowd of the season by a margin in the Elitserien. http://ta.svemo.se/Public/Pages/Serie/Audience/AudienceStatistics.aspx?SerieId=743 http://www.corren.se/sport/motorsport/rejalt-minus-for-piraterna-8426073.aspx http://sverigesradio.se/sida/artikel.aspx?programid=87&artikel=6228575
  10. Are these the same Ostrow floodlights that fail if the home team is losing by over 20 points just before cut off point?
  11. Now managed to actually open the link I failed last time.. 12. You are right. A nationality/passport is needed. For some reason I thought (/took for granted) Lambert has a German passport... Like said, passport give's you possibilities.
  13. No. It's for Lambert to choose which country he wants to represent in team events. Passport gives you possibilities, not taking them away.
  14. Recent Latvian Champs had Nike Lunna and Renat Gafurov riding. Finnish Champs is also open, Alexei Guzaev RU entered this year.
  15. Says in the rulebook that the FMNR (acu in your case) picks the reserves subject to SGP commission approval. I know the Finnish picks were no probs. So who suggested him? EDIT: the promoter of the event, or the finishing order of the British final. My bad, wrong question.
  16. Yeah but they are not in the "system" yet. Havent seen any requests for allocations ever in any CCP discipline. But head's up, they do have some decent 85cc kids coming: Lattik, Lill, Angelstok, Lappi, Belsing... If they can get on a 2stroke 85cc next summer, they might REALLY shake feathers in Finnish meetings. Actually they are already stirring the standings this summer. And then there's Ken Viidas junior in 50cc...
  17. Timo Lahti taking Kenneth Bjerre's allocation in the GP qualis... Like the sound of that! And if he happens to miss on the first try, he'll ride instead of Lindgren in the next!
  18. I'm drinking too this weekend, so dont push me. Doesn't matter how either of them perform's, as long as they get rides!
  19. Was planning on stirring this license pot myself, so wanted to know what the situation is currently. I also believe what Jesper states above. The fact is though, that a can of worms has been opened and if no one will raise their hand to call "my mistake" I will pull all the strings available and use my political power (not much but still) to make it happen that Timo Lahti can ride on a SVEMO license in Sweden next year but ride for SML in the SGP qualis.
