Thanks. Now I just need to keep looking as I publish the full results from these meetings. Partanen and Loppi could do well in Allsvenskan next season, wink wink. Second time in a short while Hammarby has dropped out. Lack of riders is the reason. The time before this one thier website stated that potential riders wanted to watch the SEC at Kumla rather than ride 1st div.

It's interesting that the tracks in Denmark are generally crap. From what I hear DMU had issued somesort of ultimatums towards to Munkebo track and it was not just about the lights... -
Risk...acceptable Or Unacceptable?

Always good to remember, that a well prepared track surface is the best safety measure! What and why really happened in in Lublin will hopefully come out one day. -
Risk...acceptable Or Unacceptable?

Thats what the riders think, and told me. I've said it many times, something is not right with them. If they were the saviour, everyone would use them. -
Risk...acceptable Or Unacceptable?
f-s-p replied to customhouseregular's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
No, the problem is that they are potentially more dangerous than riding without one. Thats why they are not used more than they are. -
[quote name="PHILIPRISING" post="2678295" timestamp="144172162 WAS talking specifically about Meridian Lifts Ok. Good thing I forgot to mention that HA was left without one for 2005... The year he would have won the lot, whatever it was.

I kind of do. For a meeting wild card definately, season wild card maybe not.

To my knowledge there really was just one arschloch that was complaining about Lahti speedway. The urban legend states that after he got Kärpänen closed earlier, this same sad individual moved to Pippo and continued with the new track. Dont know how much of the latter part is true. But I do know having read some of the complaints, that noise was not the only issue. And why the other issues were not taken care of, is a mystery to me. But the biggest problem at Lahti was that the club (mother club, not just speedway) failed to update their "planning permission" and therefor it expired (or similar) leaving things hanging and open for the whiners to react. At one point everything at Pippo was closed, that included the mx track, enduro route and quite a good looking karting stadium. I think they are allowed to ride some disciplines, but speedway now seem's lost. The city of Lahti has made that area destined to become a place for logistics centers. Forgetting the fact that the Lahti area is already full of such buildings, just that they are empty because of the recession... The actual motorway would have/someday will go through the carpark between the speedway and karting. So with a little good will both could survive at Lahti. Regarding your statement about not caring, thats a bit harsh. It's not as easy elsewhere as it is in Varkaus. With the rate that things are processing behind the scenes, we are not far off (well maybe 5-10 years) from the scenario that you and Mustonen bro's are the only speedway people in Finland. -

Compared to the tracks that regularly stage speedway in Finland for the past 5 years (excluding Kauhajoki), the track at Varkaus was zhit. Juha Hautamäki doesn't just lose control of his bike in two corners during one lap and fall after the second "jump". And he's been around for 18 years now and been the top rider in Finland for 15 of them. The incidents had bugger all to do with silencers, it was all down to the track. This is my opinion. Now the more lenient approach is, that why did the riders rode like it was as good as the rest of the tracks in Finland? Because 11 of the 15 riders present had a chance of winning the league title, thats why. -
Techy Question: Nicki P's Bike @ Gorzow Gp
f-s-p replied to Jason.C's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
pCant answer that TBH. The year before most riders had helmet cams in practise to record the racing lines and then watch them together with mechanics's feedback work on the setup and lines. This info from a GP rider. If it was speed, not racing lines, that would make much more sense actually! recording the wheelspin combined with speed, makes a lot of sense. Cant remember the name of the gadget, but I once made a rider wear one during a meeting. It had a heart rate monitor and gps combined in it. Could almost swear that the gps data showed four lines in both bends in one heat. -
From my conversations with SML general manager, the system is not as clear as the rulebook. But we know that Simon Wigg used this system in his time, but do we know that someone has misused it since? So even with the somewhat shaky control, the system has actually worked.

Having had contact with DMU I've now received the cold treatment and met with a wall of silence. The person that replied to me was high enough in the rankings and tried the easy way out. I then in my most PC manner (I do have that ability) told him how the rule's were and it all stopped after that. Not gonna spam him, though I've even made a plan how. A couple of Finnish officials have also tried to talk to DMU people in international meetings to ask about this and they have wondered off. Politically the people who should act on this in SML are a bunch of pussiässes that dont even understand whats happening. So fuk it. What I know for certain from publically available sources, is that Rasmus Jensen rode in Abensberg as a DMU rider on a DMU allocated slot. Also, if this text or any of this conversation regarding his license will someday reach Rasmus Jensen, I would like to point out that well played to him. I'm not after him, I'm after the cockup in the 2nd and 3rd biggest FMN's in speedway and it's all being swept under the carpet.

Id be very surprised if any of the riders that have a GM sticker on their kevlars will be the guinea pig in official competitions.

Neck Brace Mandatory ?
f-s-p replied to Navigator1900's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Not really keeping up... = ) When I get to it, "my" track will have mesh in the curves, and plywood on the straights. This would be ok according to the current rules. I'm expecting changes though during the winter... So we'll see...
