It's winter. Even my van said it's too cold -20 here in the south where I'm working. Up to -30 up north. For fridays practise at Ylitornio it's only -22 promised after been -29 the night before. Should be only about -14 for the meeting on saturday. Not going. -
WSL is a world championship event sanctioned by FIM, not FIM Europe.

I'm not against promoting, but this competition is an unwanted/-needed addition. It's meant for the league champs of UK, SE, PL and DK. Poole didn't even want to take part in 2015. WSL is a 20 year old dream of a certain CCP member. Had it been brought to life then, it would either have been a HUGE success or died in 5 years. Now its too late and even with a contract I expect it to die. I believe that because it's a force fed date to a full calendar.

A sports management company has bought the rights to promote an annual oneoff speedway event that has had basically no following/interest outside Poland. Its also pretty expensive to host and with a most likely now with an added promoters fee. The company has previously managed two brazilian soccer players and stars on ice. I'm so excited I'm about to pee myself!

With 4 qualis and 4 finals thats 8? tracks. How many of them had/will have an APD installed for the Aussie title racing?

There are "programs" going on, or at least were, where you apply and if approved, you are set for maybe a year to live and work in Australia. The "program" has sorted all the red tape, you just need to pay the flights or similar. Never applied myself (it was for a certain age group) but some friends of friends have and then come back after three weeks of lamb manure... LOL

Its about 15k seater? So with a full front straight that would do about 5-6k? Not bad I guess, but maybe it was. -

Anyone remember Andrew Barret, born in the 60's and (I'm told) once rode for Cradley Heath in the Elite league (or what ever it was back then). He was at the Ylitornio FIM training camp riding ice speedway. Had decent speed as well. Planning a short interview with him unless the FIM do it better as I'm told a short press release should come out shortly. -

To my knowledge most have a set (3-4, guessing, I admit) in the UK and then there's a "GP set/garage" on the continent somewhere. That would be another 4-6 + spares and they are used for SE, PL and GP. 14 sounds a lot of bikes... How did he do? EDIT: And to explain myself a little, in s sport where "number one bike" is THE ONE most want to ride, 14 number one's just cant work. -

Yes... On the other hand, does any top rider too that at the moment? All new gear when the season starts in March? Meaning dozen or so engines and 5-8 rolling chassis's... I doubt it. -

I'm not a massive Szymanski fan at the moment, but with whats going on in his sport and having made huge deals like with PGE for example, it cant be that easy for him either... -
