  1. "Ice fight" series was on the cards in early 2014. Tragedy in NL later that year put the plans on ice, havent spoken with Pawel about it. He might do something when the time is right again.. Conkers was a bit unhappy on social medai with how the meetings were organised...?
  2. Jääspeedway is correct. I think we could have frozen a track this winter, yes. While visiting Teuva for the Nordic final I kind of got to thinking where near here we could host a meeting on a lake or a pond. I strongly believe we could easily get 1k to pay for a ticket.
  3. And this swedish å. My ms word has for some reason learned to spell Gunther with dots automatically...
  4. Those dots are not on my keyboard. That downhill cross thing is quite big around the world with top Finns.
  5. Someone got ran over. He ok? Yep, did not know that Krasnikov can speak and smile. Never seen him do either before.
  6. And stead on twitter whining he's not invited...
  7. Not sure who in the FIM office keeps this list, but I do know he/she could spend his/her time MUCH MUCH better,
  8. The kickboard needs to be shock absorbing as well next year. Now you can sort it with padding or extending the apd.
  9. Even if the new fence is built rigid, just put some padding on the exit's and its good for 2016. Safest is to get that Finnish gent from FIM to inspect it, he'll use some common sense and approve it no matter what.
  10. I feel the same way about parallel series and also about your last sentence.
  11. The pecking order is FIM, FIM Europe, national federations. OneSport is given dates after FIM has reserved theirs. I think they are trying to get along, as the SEC challenge for example is on a thursday this year. Protecting your own is fine, but the BSPA's problem is not OneSport but the lack of a local pool of riders. Even 20 years ago it was 50/50 with uk or foreign riders in the top league. Why not wake up then and start making riders of your own?
  12. Like I've said I'm pretty conservative. SPBC is not the problem though, it's three "almost open" meetings that are ridden on left over dates. SEC is different, but even in that case OneSport has worked and changed a turd to a jewel. Most if not all problems were caused by FIM politics that really did not know what they were doing. FIM sold SGP to BSI, thats not really muscling in... about the same with OneSport. Dont have an answer for your other question and ice hockey is a major sport over here. = )
  13. OneSport created it, most likely it benefits them/him. And thats good, because if you work you should get something back. I don like pairs speedway personally. But with top riders on tv, how can it bad "marketing the sport"-wise? Because my non-speedway friends would not give a rats ärse what the team is called, if it looks good and fun they might sit still and watch it.
  14. Probably without realising it yourself you summed up SBPC perfectly. It's about money. And even if it is doomed and mickey mouse, it's coming to it's third or 4th season. I'm still saying it's just a series of open meetings but they do have most of the top riders and it's on tv so how could you spread the gospel any better?
  15. Aakko won before Jetsonen and Norola. Järf was challenging Aakko for the lead on lap two when his bike jumped and almost threw him off. He hang on but fell eventually. It was a well run meeting good racing with passes and all and witnessed by over 1200 people. They announced 1120 by heat ten but people were still coming in.
  16. From WSL homepage. The Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) and Team Player Management Co Ltd (TPM) recently signed an agreement to be able to sign a 10-year deal so that TPM will become the Promotor of the FIM World Speedway League. The competitions will be held in the years 2016-2025 as one final event per year. The FIM World Speedway League is a competition for elite Speedway Club Teams. To qualify the team must be the reigning national champions of their respective Speedway Leagues in the four eligible countries.
  17. Speedway conference, fixture planning and people threatening with the traditional "I quit" speech...
  18. Grant's and Fosters. Needed to calm down.
  19. Just a personal opinion, but he dropped out, and allegedly (mispelling, sorry) has turned down two wild cards. Only way he should be allowed a comeback is through quali's. There are plenty of riders who would sell their mother and lease their sisters for a chance to be world champ. Even in the "commercial world" (from your lips, you know who you are) we live in, speedway still is a sport. You need to work to achieve, witnessed that 1st hand myself today.
  20. So start cheering so WSL then!
