  1. Good for him... Another case I've had enough of. KL should work for him, Timo Lahti will go to Slangerup.
  2. So someone is either undermining or overstepping it. End of. Will be a lot easier for the rest if the Danish places are with a few old boys riders...
  3. I dont know and I dont know. DMU's business and I will never know what exactly has happened. ALL my posts on this thread are based on an assumption that all riders had a chance to apply to be given a chance to skip this quali. Only two had apparently applied. why did not the rest of them apply? If everyone has known the procedure early enough to act, then DMU is right. Someone will ride in the quali's on DMU slots even if the 18 riders refuse. I'm looking this also from a federation side. If someone wants to blackmail the federation, let him. He'll lose as someone else (especially in Denmark) will take his place.
  4. Yet only two applied and 18 others signed a petition. It's DMU's business, stupid argument and a case I rather have not even known about.
  5. But by Junes post everyone had the chance to apply! Wild cards are here to stay. That ensures that fim events have host clubs. Also, MJJ has not actually been given a wild card. DMU has six allocations for GP qualis, what they do with them is their business. Now they have decided that one is a direct seed and five others are contested in a quali.
  6. If everything has been dealt open with all the riders (which it seems as riders have applied) I really dont see a problem with MJJ given a wild card. Even though he's had one earlier as well. The riders boycotting the quali will only hurt themselves and speedway in Denmark. All in all what a stupid argument to have. Really cant see why Secher left because of this. Unless he just wanted a reason.
  7. And you cant propose a wc a day later. Someone has tried to no success. I'll put my money on too much too soon too easily. Then he broke a thigh or similar. When he came back, he just could not reproduce what he had. That can het in to anyones head... EDIT: and it all came too soon and easy because he was that good.
  8. speedway.org/history has SOMEthing. Think the best way is to start and learn Swedish and get connected with swedish riders of that period. It's amazing (in Finland anyway) how good records some people have kept of their doings... It's just that I cant give you any names... Being sponsored by Swedish Match at the time they were snus/zhhit brown.
  9. If the postal code and street name fits, why would the delivery man hesitate? It was given to him by the machine that sorts the mail and makes no mistakes...
  10. For some reason I checked out some flights yesterday to go and see this. Too expensive ATM but tempted to make a comeback to Wolfslake after 12 years. Also kind of anxious and hopeful to see it NOT fail.
  11. Most riders in PL probably have to pay to ride, IF you count everything in to it. Some EL actually do pay to ride. But to answer your wage question, most wages probably are extreme since promoters whine year after year how expensive it is. And there's a line of people ready to become one! And two is a queu!
  12. No I had not tried that. Did know though that they are not listed anywhere. Thats why I was asking about listings that show something.
  13. Any idea or listings that show when I can watch these on Eurosport?
  14. WOW! That can be interpreted SO wrong... If it even needs interpreting...
  15. I dont know how long it takes to service an engine, but lets say a full day. With all the travelling and meetings a rider does, I've so far felt that maybe it's better to outsource engine maintenance than do EVERYTHING yourself. 16. And this is the exact point many dont understand. So instead of learning to use what they have they buy a crapload of new and shiny bits that they still dont know how to use. Like I used to do...
  17. Which lawyer would have advised to sign the damn thing in the first place...
  18. I might remember wrong but some parts prices were in another interview maybe 1-2 years ago, after titanium was brought in.. I spoke with PJR last year in Warsaw and as I said I was a reporter I think he might have understood that his stories will go public, so... Joonas Kylmäkorpi was on Twitter last year about an engine that he'd done 120 heats with, and scoring points with it as well. It went in to service and practically nothing was changed, might have been a ball bearing or similar, I do remember he said he put the same piston back in because there just wasn't any wear in the parts. The said motor did seize after the service after JK had crashed in the said meeting just before.... Anyway, 120+ heats with no wear give's an idea how an engine can be used if used properly. It's a lot different than the RUMOURED Jarek Hampel story where he sends his engine to service having ridden one GP weekend with it. The Basic message from PJR IMO is that the engines would last a lot longer if taken care of properly.
  19. He gives out so much info on his prices and other stuff in the interview, that if he's lying he's out of business by May. Think he said he's been doing engines for almost 30 yers now, he cant be full of turd and current world champion at the same time, IMO = )
  20. Excellent interview of PJR in the latest Spar, an eye opener for many numbnuts. Earlier I also thought top guys replace evetything yearly. Not in real life though, some engines are kept for years, some frames not even taken in to action until someone else has ridden 150 heats with them.
  21. Why should have they been? Only mandatory to ask the champion, after that just who ever seems suitable. My previous post was about this new promoter sayin daft things in public regarding Poole's inclusion... Depends who you believe though as well...
  22. Story in last weeks Spar, Poole were asked multiple times to take part in this years WSL.
  23. Cant see how he could get upset at me since he's on Twitter on his own name so here it goes. "I hope the Berlin #icespeedway organisers get their act together for next year. This year they were 1 step down from utterly bloody useless"
