Speedway Gp's 2017
f-s-p replied to ProperSport's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
All you hyping Prague, is the taxi situation improved? As I've been ripped off a few times and it used to be a common problem that the numbers on their meters went so fast you could not even follow them... -

Speedway Gp's 2017

I visited the Wasa museet a year ago and remember there being talks of closing it, as the ship cant "take the weather" anymore and has started to combust or something like that. Must be some info online if you google it. But anyway, visit it now. -
What Changes Have To Be Made In 2017?
f-s-p replied to Sidney the robin's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Only two weeks ago I was told that speedway is the cheapest motorcycle sport and probably the only one where there's a chance of income early on. The guy is a former world #3 in iceracing and heavily involved in the trade. Because speedway is an international sport, you cant IMO standardise equipment in one league of many. So I'd forget that. Lack of riders create's problems, so going to smaller teams would be a good, yet short time fix. -
What Changes Have To Be Made In 2017?

What ever needs to be done to change the direction of speedway in the uk, I wont be involved after a short interview with Peter Gregory from the ACU last night. Finland has 5 teams in one league and I could spend 20hrs a week easily to work for their benefit. Just need compensation for spent time. You lot have three or four leagues with 30 odd teams and still cant create a package that could support any single individual to work full time to sort the mess that the sport is. -
Last year Sweden won the SWC and the following tuesday Hancock lost his plot with NickiP. It was all over Swedish press. I mean everywhere. With a bit of planning it could easily have been transferred to a story that "controversy in sport where Sweden is currently world #1".And by easily I mean by a pro media people.

World U21 Team Championships 2016
f-s-p replied to racers and royals's topic in International World of Speedway
But with no funding, no team. Looks better for next year though. Early talks, early doors but there's a chance U21 team could be back. -
And when he actually held on it, he was injured in that as well... LOL Had Pedersen not let the bike go in the Milik incident he'd still be collecting bits of his collarbone at the track having been highsided big time.

The 2017 Sgp Entry Forms
f-s-p replied to PolskiZuzel's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Very correct. Also I was there in the press conference after the Challenge in Vetlanda and Prota had every intention to ride in the SGP having claimed his spot in that meeting. Rule's changed and so did his decision. -

What I meant. But BSI dont pay it, FIM pays the prize money. Dont really know what the situation really is, but with a basic flaw in the story like this just makes me want to turn my back on the whole subject. Also, a huge part why Protasiewicz declined his spot in the SGP was the rule change that only one SGP rider per team was allowed in Poland. So he had to choose between riding in the Ekstraliga or SGP... -

FIM pays points money and Gollob dropped out after losing his Monster contract. Not saying it's all roses in the SGP. -
You need to start saving notes to drink in Sweden.

No, but you wont get a direct seed to it for a few years...

Guessing there are no news, but is there any gossip around this?

There's only one category of international ref's and that FIM. Some just never reach world championship level but stay on (for example) European/continental level. I checked this.

He still needs a FMN license. And it was a FIM Europe event. Not totally sure if you can get just FIM Europe ref license, but Varkaus most certainly "only" got a FIM Europe track license.

Because basically ACU does.
