Photography Restrictions At Meetings

Reading a list of crappiest gadgets 2016 I stumbled on GoPro Karma drones. One of them apparently fell to a baseball field and many of them just shut down in the air when they felt like it. EDIT https://fstoppers.com/aerial/gopro-karma-drones-are-falling-sky-153530 -

Exactly. Guess they have a plan.

Can you do that? Just asking...

A couple of years ago I spoke with a person who was heavily in to MotoGP. They already had controlled/sealed/lotteried (is that a word?) engines in one or two of the three classes. Anyway, like almost anyone knows, no two engines can be built to perform the same. So he told me, that they could not do that in MotoGP either. So is that OK to introduce that in to speedway? Sealed engines and what comes your way for 4k + VAT is yours even if the dyno says it's 15 % less something and your gut feeling after you've ridden it says bin it...

Guess they went back home and created Axelent. Sponsor for Lejonen and Nicki and somewhat an industry leader in such cages in Northern Europe. At least used to be...

Ok, good. So he actually "uses" the engine somewhat to cause possible wear. But still I think that Lindgren doing the same 1000 laps will cause more wear. If he does it, it sounds more convincing regarding the engines capability to handle use.
-
Who's he/she? Does she/he use full throttle/revs? I mean I could do 1000 laps as well! Any engine, no wear, I promise.

Interesting that the Swedes have put their championhips on the only weekend that the EC is speculated for. Though I did read that at the time they had no info on the EC date. And there actually still isnt.

I think Tony Olsson said it pretty clear in Nerikens Allahanda that Indianerna are out from Elitserien and can only race in 1st division in 2017. This has put a cloud over Team Finland's 2017 in 1st division, as they were in line for a Place for weeks, until a 12th team enlisted during the very last few possible days. Now if Indianerna cant do even 1st division, Team Finland is back in.

Tried and failed to find the links, but I have two cases where scheisse could seriously have hit the wall: 1) FIS alpine skiing world cup, a huge dron was actually "put" down just about 5 meters behind a skier due to malfunction. As close as it gets? Happened in the last two years. 2) A reporter of Lehtikuva in Finland (compare with Reuters around the world or the biggest news agency in your country) LOST a 15kg tv-level camera drone in the middle of Helsinki due to signal malfunction. 15kg's, signal lost in the air in the middle of the city... I tried to say this in as many instances as I could have. It's an accident waiting to happen in motorsports. -
Warsaw Gp 13th May 2017

Stayed at Mercure Central, it's good with Warsaw's probably biggest mall across the street, taxi's in front of the door and across the mall to the bus and tram stops to the stadium. EDIT: So I did remember it correct... plain seats it is then, thanks. -

Anyone remember the price for the Silver VIP last year? Because as I remember it, we were ready to buy them even when we had tickets already. Seem to recall they were below 100 euros easily, now they tranfer to over 200 €. -
Photography Restrictions At Meetings

Yeah you kind of caught me there as over here we dont have meetings under floodlights. BUt even the GP's I've done indoors, cant remember seeing a flash used. Will stick to the opinion of flash not being able to keep up with the camera though... = ) -

There are plenty good photographers and people who know better than me, but me thinks flash is useless while photographing speedway. Drones might drop and cause serious damage. My thinking stops there. -

Not one photographer uses flash while shooting from the outside. What are you on about Doug? I dont even own one, but thats purely a financial stance. Someone will probably know better and tell us, but as my camera shoots 8 times a sec, the isnt a flash that can keep up. Drones are a HUUGE safety risk and should be banned in all motorcycle sport. -
Because you loved it and wanted it to live long and prosper? Much like we (as in other people) do now.
