  1. Why cant you ride your "cheaper BSPA GTR'S" abroad? Freddie Lindgren did. And did okay...
  2. One Sport propaganda prior to Best Pairs starting the season.
  3. Not really... They just cut out some of the unnecessary stuff out. Like if there's a show for the interval and they are late, cut some of it out or similar. A couple of seasons ago when they introduced the two minute warning for the gate draws, it was because they had seen that it took too much time to ride the last three heats. I think it was about 45 mins or similar for the semi's and final. So they cut the nonsense from the draw and saved alot of time. Basically my point was (and not talking of lambo's testimonial, but of these 4 hour meetings that are a problem, even 3 is a problem) that if you try, it can happen. If you just Cruise through it as the clerk of the course, it wont.
  4. SGP meetings have a timetable for the entire day of the meeting that is planned to every ten seconds including prize giving and fireworks. So even though they most likely will never get their 23 heats done in 2 hrs, they sure do try.
  5. The very RAW generalisation is that in a FIM meeting the local club pays the prize money for the riders and a staging fee to the FIM. With the staging fee comes a FIM ref and a jury president to make sure that rules are applied correctly. Someone still has to sell the tickets and organise the meeting. Now with these promoted meetings, god and Armando only know what has been agreed on paper. But basically the promotors are marketing companies and want everything to look good, make good tv and sell it to sponsors. The KL u21 final was a joke.
  6. So this in the ENGine by a fellow called Gaschka or similar? Been told the same, good engine, available to test eadily but cost a lot to hire and use. Not even sure they are for sale.
  7. Riding at home. How maby meetings you said there are in total in the UK this weekend?

  9. Had Olsen stayed quiet for a few more days this would have been well played.
  10. Only the finals are OneSport promoted, not qualis. You are pretty much spot on with the rest as well. I dont care anymore, I just want to build the track and get that sorted.
  11. I remember Berwick at least once, Poole and Coventry had challenges, BV had u21 last year. Dont think you that bad. Still dont think FIME has anything to do with this either, though Jesper made a valid new point. Sweden has two gp's and svemo promotes the other one. Think in all they are close to being good examples. They'll become the pet FMN now that longtrack is back. They do have alot going on. Where as we over here have pretty much nothing. Varkaus has an APD, but with meetings needing about 10k prize money involved, they've not taken any. Yet. EDIT: Last year alone ACU had a GP quali in KL and the U21 Somerset/BV. Then you can sort of add IMG promoted Cardiff and SWC raceoff and final.
  12. When FIM introduced the new rule a year ago, it was A+ APD panels that are bigger than the previous ones and the starts of the straights need to have fences that absorb kinetic energy for the first 20 meters. This can be done with the fence structure or with added padding on the inside. Been watching the pic's from Wroclaw and I guess they will go with the added padding.
  13. OK. Just a thought, but since this isn't a FIM or FIM Europe meeting, then PZM rules apply since it's ridden at Torun. What ever they say about the fences, dont know.
  14. I knew you'd pick up on this... You two hopefully can have the same conversation next year as well. Think you did last year. Just read from Sweden that a week ago there was an actual chance that the meeting would not go ahead because of APD problems. Any news on that?
  15. No doubt this has happened as explained to you. What I said is how I've seen it happen on international level from over here.
  16. DGT probably wrote from the list and missed 2 since the original pdf states 64.
  17. She was called Jason Crump, grasstrack was speedway and exhaust was spinning back tire with his bicep between the tire and mudguard... end result is the same and those chequered nylon suits are practically history.
  18. They dont. 7+1 go through from each of the qualis + 2 CCP nominated wild cards for both semi's. From the wildcards to the semi's, if there are no home nation (DE or IT) riders one probably will be nominated with a wild card. There definately will be a Russian rider in the challenge, wild card or not.
  19. Not ask but to get. Castagna and CCP should not worry about SEC, plenty to get their hands dirty and sort out with FIM meetings. There's some truth that hosting qualis gives you better reputation. Elgane NO has something every year. Divisov, Plzen and Pardubice are all hugely active if you check the calendar. Is it right or wrong? Most if not all qualis cost money for the organiser.
  20. AMA got the one they wanted. It is kind of weird that GB only got 2... I know I'm in no position to brag about our riders quality/quantity, but I do think that 6 riders is a bit much for GB. Still do after checking your champs final results from last year.
  21. Nordic final cancelled today at Örnsköldsvik due to spring and soft ice. Everyone was there and they tried but it wasn't meant to be.
  22. Whats this fuss over the Laguta's. If they wanted it, they would be in it. One of the two actually was...
