Was following all this from another source and wondering why it all took so long to get public. Maybe I just did not know everything. Thats why I think it would be a bit surprising if Nässjö and/or Linköping are not ready for the next season, because the talk was there very early. Also read from Svemo that they have give HUUUGE hand to new track opening by allowing used APD's to be introduced at tracks. There are conditions though that they need to be replaced within a few years. The other side of the APD story naturally is that when Svemo forced the APD rule in to action back in the day, Linköping was one of the tracks that closed.

I might have quoted poorly, I meant that every letter and score should be counted as a ride. Apart from N and that happens when a heat is taken from you in advance. Like tac sub or similar. Even if you win as a rider by lowering your avg, your team loses at that moment (not necessarily true 10/10). So there some justice in it all. Maybe.

I think there are enough ways to fiddle with avgs, so just make it vount in every case. = /

I know/remember from the Finnish rounds that for example the water truck the first time had bin bags taped to the sides of it to hide the local firm logo that owned the car. Also some Polish banners were removed from the crowd in 2015 because of some negative realations in them (was maybe about a death of a friend or similar). Also I'll never forget that two top person from BSI were checking Timo Lahtis pit bay in 2015 'cos of the banners he had. They stood next to us for maybe 5 minutes watching (this was during the meeting) his banners but in the end said nothing. If it were me, I would have told Lahti people to rip it off 'cos it just made their pits look amateur and ugly... Anyways, they are very careful and sharp on whats allowed. And why not, it's their tv time.

Why would M (as in 2 mins exclusion) would not be classified as a ride? It was your heat, and (usually) a selfimposef reason you did not take part in it.

GP reserves are picked, nothing to do with challenge results anymore. Maybe for 2-4 years now. Lots of different info doing the rounds on who makes the picks. I dont know for certain anymore, but I thought the SGP commission makes the call and my info said it had Castagna, Gombeaud ( former ccp co-ordinator, now head of sports) and Torben Olsen. So 2-1 in favour of FIM IF there even is a vote to be taken. If Torben Olsen says he wants something, I'd guess thats two or three votes...

Couple of years ago there was a big article on Walasek where he said that Sweden was "no pressure speedway" for him. A swedish journalist followed him from sunday Morning to wednesday or similar. He did an Ekstraliga meeting on sunday and then travelled to Sweden for the Elitserien meeting and had a few drinks the night before... It was all in the interview that in some parts I found too revealing.

Crap, had missed a word. Was supposed to say "requests had to be made for a few". It was all about the refs seeing games and learning from that. So me thinks thats how it should be in speedway as well. And is.

When I was an ice hockey referee (for ten years) I could see every match in every rink in Finland for free. Out of the "million" matches in Finland every season special requests in advance had to be made but I was getting in IF I wanted to. Then I quit and they didnt renew my card. End of.

Those were the days when you take your own beer to the plane and had nothing but them and a copy of Spar to keep you company...

Thats what I recall as well. Remember spiegal explaining here how people were almost forced to attend to make the stadium full. Busses from different parts of the city were bringing people in... something like that
