Mika Loppi found a solid financial support behind him for season 2016 and did reasonably well in Finland and in Swedish 1st division. Then about a year ago he decided to go to Lebanon or similar to fix UN/Finnish military vehicles. And for what Im told likes it. I spoke to him last July as he was on holiday and had not made up yet whether to sign for another stint or come back.

This was discussed earlier and moominman also pointed to that direction. I think I was one of the first to say on here, that FMN's reputation of hosting meetings was taken in to consideration. Which in fact I thought would work in favour of ACU. But honestly, I have know idea why you not get 4 or 5 slots.

Havent seen this years request list, but last year ACU was asking for 6 slots.

Just got my copy of Spar and read the Castagna bit. Only WTF moment I got from it was when 125cc and 250cc was mentioned... What do they have to do with the ultimate prize in team speedway?

When Finland was about to drop out from U21 team quali in Gustrow a week before the meeting, it was a choice between 1) Be there 2) fines between 10-100k and a cancelled meeting. We went and the meeting was ridden. I dont know what their policy is at the moment, but riding a meeting seems better than cancelling it alltogether. Especially if it's one of two towards a final. So I might be agreeing that FIM can allow it to happen, but dont agree that it should be done. But the sad fact is that it's all going downhill and at times they just need to swing it.

Cant remember the timeline of this, but do remember Team Adria. If you think it the other way around, it was a good save by the FIM, as the meeting could have just as easily been cancelled all together.

Pretty damn difficult for any rider to qualify via semifinals. Havent seen the allocations yet, but would expect 4 from each and only 1 from any one of them if Smoli dont qualify by right. No idea about other wild cards for the challenge.

I checked the papers and FMN's were asked to enlist for the Speedway World Cup for 2018. I can only see one reason that SWC is scrapped and you lot are arguing, and that is that not enogh countries want to ride in SWC. So they are forgetting that one and hoping that smaller teams will results in more teams/countries.

They can only administrate what they are given to administrate. Cheap tickets on a grand re-opnening night dont count!
