If all the ponders are at the same place, thats it and up to you how to finish the race. If you had a wheelie by accident, your loss if you lose because of it. In cross country skiing they have their ponders in a bracelet around the ankle I think. Thats why they always try push their leg forward when finishing. I’ve actually lost a podium finish in radio controlled car racing way back in time because my ponder was mounted at the back of my car. Had I mounted it on the very nose end of the car (which I did after the race in question) I would have made that extra lap and passed the other guy cos his battery faded. I’m not bitter about it... Just that sometimes at night I wake up and think about...

EDIT: Seppänen is no longer the travelling race director, think it was Zakharov who does the Russian rounds and the Morris does the European rounds. There might be something related to this change.

Tani is at Ufa and FIM press says Zorn will test his leg before practise. So I’d stay in Ufa.

If U asking me I have no idea.

Tomi Tani announced to ride at Ufa in the EC.

Timo Lahti got a swedish passport a few years ago. Yes a dual citizen.

This one still works. They bring their #1 kit from home and travel back with rusty crap. As long as the numbers match... Only difference is that nowadays they’ve spent the same money on their kit so it’s not that cheap to buy anymore. Back in the day they’d take a van full of stuff from the club garage having taken care of the manager (he lived though) swap it here and live happily in wealth towards the next trip...

A good video yes. Radio controlled car industry is full of vids like that, just that with a 100+ manufacturers they all have a commercial agenda. Basically what Ash just said is what he wrote 2 years ago.

The new GM NX engine assembled at the factory is 3995€ + VAT so its not that one then... The way I see it, why bother creating a new spec engine since it’s not gonna get used anyway. It would need to be introduced accross the world and replace the old ones and we know thats not gonna happen.

Ok, but they are not in the FIM CCP which is the name list I copypasted. Anyway, like we remember from GTR thread about two years ago we knew the limiters were coming. At basically no extra cost. still, I’m with Vince that ban shortstrokes and go back a few steps on that route.

What do they do?

say a rider gets ruled out on tuesday after crashing and compare that with a similar incident on friday evening. I’d be amazed if a GP substitute rider can dash to the GP with a 20h notice. For eaxample from anywhere in the UK to the other side of Europe... Most of them can do it in 4 days -
I saw a dyno test sheet yesterday that I've seen before as well. It clearly showed that all the current engines lose power at around 10500 rpm.So after that the higher revs are a bit iffy... Are they needed or not??

Not really, but on the other hand all my info regarding this matter is something I’ve gathered from the press and/or internet. She has been in direct conversation with the bloke and lives in the ”same world” with him...
