  1. Prodrives were the ones to have when they were introduced.
  2. EDITED POST The current homo-program is so, that you get the silencer homologated and each year stamp it with a production year. U cant use silencers over 5 years old. For what I know thats the plan high up how to continue, no change to decibel levels in the foreseeable future...
  3. I know people over here that happily slate others for doing whatever they do regarding riders and nationalities. Once they get involved themselves, some of them see the light. It’s not so easy when you need to think about rules, finances and availability... Some though are still prr1cks.
  4. Yes. He’s ”doing” the meeting, as in one of the organisers.
  5. Was hoping for it to be for SoN. Like said earlier, early May for SoN is too soon.
  6. Son is just a title of a competition. The name doesnt bother me. Since the swc was a no go, best pairs was the only way to go. SoN is just a name for it.
  7. I don't know what's written on the fancy paper at FIM headquarters, but if you ask me, I can't see 4-5 rider teams coming back to the World championship team speedway.
  8. I could have written that! Only thing I see different is the scrapping of SWC. It was too expensive and not enough countries could do it anymore. Smaller teams, less expensive was the only way to go...
  9. So there's a gap for a month between Prague and Cardiff. Sounds good so far...
  10. I bet they send their new official photographer...
  11. F1 has about twenty races a season where points are awarded. SGP has 10? meetings a season when you can do up to 70 races and/or wins. Its totally different. What a load of zh1t to mess with the scoring.
  12. FIM should strip this meeting of prize money (paid by organiser) so it would attract good racing tracks keen to host it. Never been there, never seen a meeting from there so only going on the info I got from riders that have been there. And thats why I think it's no good.
  13. I've been to Elgane. This season we had racing at Hyvinkää, Varkaus, Haapajärvi, Kuusankoski, Seinäjoki, Kauhajoki and Pori. Pori is to close now, highly unlikely Yyteri see's another speedway bike but I'm told a new track is coming and happening. To these you can Nokia that had meetings in 2017 and 2018 and for the opener at Nokia we had our British friends from Felixstowe and also a fellow from Hungary. Lahti was closed sometime ago but Kaanaa/Tampere was used for practise again this season after a loooong break.
  14. FIM congress is next weekend in Frankfurt and calendars are expected to be released during or after it. FIM Europe follows in a week or two.
  15. I CAN live with that statement. But then again I’m no longer involved with a printed motorsport magazine. I had a huge crash of my own, broke my arm, hit my head, had my time off and saw the light. Doesnt matter whats software used. MP used to supply instructions how the pics were to be sent. But even he didnt demand for CMYK levels. Or whatever. There’s a man at the office looking at the screen, he approves it and it should look the same when printed. 100% subjective view.
  16. The editor or photo editor still has a lot to say about the pics. It’s called Lightroom. Plenty of your reasonably good pics have been turned explicit over the years using Lightroom...
  17. As I see it and done it, the ”file/issue” is sent to the printers and they print it. Color scales are negotiated and agreed before hand. As I see it and would do it, make a set of drafts, see them, adjust them, approve them and go trough with production. Only needed once unless the printers re adjust their machinery. And I state again, it’s a subjective view! Had a week off but beer tastes good again!
  18. YOU do need a get-together between the editorial staff and the printers. I’d be HUGELY admired if the case was that I was the only one to see the ”problem”. It’s 100% subjective view and I feel the pics are too ”warm, dark and saturated” . Taking pictures during the meetings in the dark is a challenge, you have good people doing their best allaround for you. But when plain white starts to turn even a shade towards yellow in print, it’s about screen calibrations and differences with that between companies, new ones...
  19. Today I quoted a Spar article on a local forum dated Oct 26th. Took a while to realise, that for the first time probably this year my Spar has been delivered on the week it's been released. I'm at Tampere/Finland and if you lot dislike your Royal Mail our Posti has to be twice as bad nowadays. For the past 6 months I've been getting my Spar on tuesdays and Wednesdays. But now something has happened and we're back! For the new look I feel the paper has changed and I would have a meeting or two about the "sat level" of the overall look. Something not uncommon when a change of printers happens. You guys know what to do...
  20. Ullevi also closed for speedway after running track was redone. Then after some years they had Monster trucks there. Go figure.
  21. 6 has been enough to qualify and with a decent pileup in the semi and the final heat you could win with just 6. Couldnt you? I mean our final this year was ridden four times with the bronze medalist already in the hospital with a broken leg.
  22. Why not wipe your face and bin the beans that were left...
