  1. Spot on bolded and not agreeing in cursive. This ranking is based on scored points, so isn't actually reflecting their skills and ability on a bike...
  2. So was mine, until I was told yesterday that his presence isn't 100 % sure. In fact only a mechanical failure or a lightning striking him in the final would have stopped him. Mustonen and Siltaniemi are my other too top favourites for the title. Not really sure about how Katajisto will do. I dont know if he's ever ridden at the track? Vicar, you must have looked somehow awkwardly at the lineup... Jukka Nieminen will only score the points others leave him to score. No he doesn't to my knowledge, it's an open meeting to get a full lineup. Jonas Davidsson won this a few years back... Mäkinen is still out with a broken fibula, 4 weeks to go... Dont know for sure if he was ready to lineup or not.
  3. Draw for the U21 final held at Hyvinkää this saturday. First heat at 14.00 local time. 1. Joni Kitala, SsMK 2. Jere Mattila, KauhjMK 3. Aleksander Edberg, Ruotsi 4. Aarni Heikkilä, FMS 5. Ari Tuomisto, FMS 6. Kalle Katajisto, VRT 7. Teemu Lahti, KMMK 8. Jukka Nieminen, SsMK 9. Niko Siltaniemi, HjMK 10. Fedor Poptsov, Venäjä 11. Appe Mustonen, VRT 12. Timo Lahti, KMMK 13. Markku Autio, KUMaMo 14. Jonas Messing, Ruotsi 15. Olli Heikkilä, KauhjMK 16. Jens Oskarsson, Ruotsi I'm tipping a win for Timo Lahti.
  4. Sounds like good enough of a reason. Like I said, I have no idea whats been going on...
  5. Well... First of all they need to be good enough to qualify for the challenge and second they need to want it. Saifutdinov wasn't at Terenzano even though he was first reserve. Injured? I dont know.
  6. Yes I was! Went to Italy for a week and it was warm and very nice in every aspect. Temperatures here in Tampere I'm told were between +13-24 Celsius while we had +36 at Verona. Since they've pulled out, it was never ridden? I have not received any results.

  9. Extraliiga today at Kauhajoki. Very tight meeting with Timo Lahti, Marko Suojanen and Viktor Bergström performing above others. The track was GREAT for the first 10 heats but then deterioted fast and badly towards the end. Not saying more now to avoid more pshysical threats... 10. The U21 qualifier from Pori was for 25 €... 21 minutes of action...
  11. My new team for the second period 1 Nicki PEDERSEN DENMARK $60,000 15 Frederik LINDGREN SWEDEN $30,000 13 Lukas DRYML CZECH REPUBLIC $20,000 4 Tomasz GOLLOB POLAND $45,000 8 Scott NICHOLLS GREAT BRITAIN $35,000 Nicki will be my captain from now on.
  12. Hancock really showed Nicki who's the boss at Orionparken. It was a good meeting, at least the latter half I saw.
  13. Kylie was a disappointment after seeing George Michael at the same place a year earlier. Cant believe I decided to see her over Foo Fighters... I'm really sorry but I have to leap down from the heights you're raising me in to LBC. It's not that impressive... Info arrived yesterday that the qualifier for the national final has been re-located to Pori. The fence re-vamp at Seinäjoki isn't going to be finished in time. This was very sad and bad news to my ears. The same club that was crying out for others to work harder so we could have more meetings hasn't had a one complete meeting at their hometrack this season. No practise has taken place either after the first week of May. Hopefully they will at least get the fences up during this season. Lineup for the Finnish Individual Championship qualifier. 11+2 will go through to Haapajärvi to the final. The date is somewhere earlier in this thread. My predictions to the final in bold. 1. Kalle Katajisto 2. Aarni Heikkilä 3. Joni Keskinen 4. Teemu Lahti 5. Niko Siltaniemi 6. Jani Eerikäinen 7. Markku Autio 8. Timo Lahti 9. Aleksey Poptsov RU 10. Petteri Koivunen 11. Jukka Nieminen 12. Juho Ruuska 13. Petri Koskela 14. Aki-Pekka Mustonen 15. Juha Mäkelä 16. Marko Suojanen Tomi Reima, Kaj Laukkanen, Tero Aarnio, Rene Lehtinen and Juha Hautamäki are seeded for the final. Jari Mäkinen, Kauko Nieminen and Joonas Kylmäkorpi were not interested. Well actually they hadn't signed up for it in time, but to me thats the same. I can perfectly understand too why Nieminen and Kylmäkorpi arent, but do wonder why Mäkinen isn't interested.
  14. I feel so sorry for you... I'll get back on the sofa to watch Rospiggarna vs Lejonen and have a beer to drown your sorrow.
  15. Terenzano semifinal! Four out of five make's the trip quite worth the effort. 16. Now the only thing left to worry about is how to get there. I'm actually starting to get pretty nervous about driving in Italy. Dont think the culture on the roads is that similar to Finland that it'll go without a few sudden burst's of anger and the occasiona F-word...
  17. I know our team manager spent some time thinking about how his line-up will look like. He then put Kylmäkorpi as #1 and now that he's out Reima takes his place without a re-shuffle of the colours...
  18. I want Peter Ljung, Matej Zagar, Rory Schlein, Emil Saifutdinow and Jurica Pavlic to Terenzano. Marc P., make note!
  19. I have no idea... His website says he's out for two weeks...
  20. The new ones have now been declared crap by the FIM. In a more polite way of saying it the FIM has issued a statement in which the new cutout rule for this season has been put on hold and any cutout accepted in -07 or for -08 is now approved.
  21. QUOTE (Rob B @ Jun 15 2008, 07:19 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not always easy for referees to see and most probably not bothered but if they wanted to be picky then could fine, whenever on a bike must always have cut out on wrist, same applies to mechanics etc when warming them up. Rule 10.46.4 in the rulebook. Thats the ACU rule book, isn't it. Since FIM book (that applies in GP's) starts with 70###??
  22. I think one of the isracing.net posters did the math on this early on in the season and totalled 16 Swede's in the Elitserien. Thats out of 56+ total. That's better than in Finland though, since last year we didn't have a full field for our national final.
