Saatana... there's another one.

Anyone can order a stamp with a personal picture at least from the Finnish post, Itella. I was halfway through the process, when I had to call the whole thing off. If I remember right, the amount of stamps needed to order per pic was too much. But anyway, the possibility is there.

The plan is to be at Pardubice for the U21 team WC semi. Is there anything to see in the city? Some place to send the ladies while I'm at the track having a beer...

Looking at pics by iris123 and Conkers from this season (probably before too) I noticed that Krasnikov has a different front fork to almost all the other riders like Aakko, Zorn Klato for example. Anyone with a view or an opinion whats it all about?

Latest from ice racing is that the Austrian team's performance is under protest, because Franz Zorn has too professional outlook for his racing team. Also his mullett exceeds the FIM regulations, article 555.533.66447.32.a. Andy Pipkin has also filed a civil suit against him for steeling his hairstyle. It's in direct violation of street code, article 35645987,2364987.j like Vicky Pllard, solicitor for Mr Pipkin has stated in her sportsblog. Honest.

How did this come about!! There's been a phone meeting in the fim four days ago about this, and the meeting itself was five weeks ago...

All in all stupid and should have never been allowed to happen. Everyone in the ice racing community knew about his condition after last years situation in Russia when he wasn't allowed to ride in the opening round because of his medication. This is the one thing that will catch the "big" newspapers again, even as the meeting itself would never have gotten a mention. Specially as the the FIM statement doesn't say anything about the medication. Unless of course, he really was doped..?

The track still has an inspection to pass, something that failed a few years ago (or so the stroy goes...). This time extra effort will be put in to it and there should be no problems.

Like I said to a friend, I was happy to just see overtaking. Most of the heats were won from the tapes, but there were enough battles at the back for the meeting to get an OK mention.

After first lap everything was settled because the distances were already around 20 m each. Lehtinen had gearbox problems on the third lap but luckily Järf wasn't able to make a pass. Jouni Seppänen was on fire, as he did "last to 2nd" twice and last to first once and was a well worthy fourth.

Malinen really has gathered himself quite a few meetings this season around Europe and Russia. He has a pretty enthusiastic group of people behind him helping out. Hopefully he'll turn out good in a few years. I think he's only 19 this year, maybe 20.

I have here in my hand two tickets I bought for a friend to C3 lower at the start of the backstraight. Unless any of the drunken danes drop beer for the upper section like they did last time I was there they are good seats. And even if they do drop some, I'm not sitting there! Best part was that they cost 102 € a piece.

Much to my surprise the calendar for the coming season has been released. I wasn't expecting it for another month, so this was a very pleasant surprise. The Routakallio track at Seinäjoki that was relaid during last summer after the abandonment of the Extraliiga opening round hosted only two meetings last season. Seinäjoki speedway was one of them at the very end of the season. Aleksi Mäkinen from www.speedway.fi has now put online all the heats. Videos can be found here.
