  3. Lahti has a fracture in his hand and depending on the need for surgery he could be out for up to three months. Siltaniemi has a fracture in his back and some problems with his hand and is out 3-8 weeks. The track was a disgrace and caused a lot of action. They had some rain the night before to make it very soft...
  4. Heat 13, Teemu Lahti and Niko Siltaniemi both out injured and on their way to the hospital.
  5. It doesn't work on my pc. It looks like the data is burned on it but my pc shows it's empty... I'll try with another one.
  6. Do you need to ask what you can do with that list...
  7. Could be 6+1. Didnt check and went with the info I had from the Finnish team manager. Even with 6+1 I believe a Finn will qualify to the semi. It's all plain sailing to the final after you're through the Nordic final.
  8. For the price you paid for it, think again next time!
  9. I did almost fell of the sofa laughing when I saw Rosen interviewed on Canal+ a week or two ago... But Rosen was good in U19 Hallstavik and managed to gather himself up again after his fall and qualified. Something that Ludvig wasn't able to do.
  10. The track was actually quite heavy compared to last years U21 qualifier. They should all be made as hard as possible here to keep things even and allow everyone a chance to get the bike to slide. Make's better entertainment. It was quite a spectacular somersault over the handlebars. Good thing the bike missed you as it landed from the 2 metres in the air where it went for a moment.
  11. That still leaves a qualifying place for all the Finns! 8+1 go through.
  12. After 8 or 9 years break a Finn WILL go trough. Or two!!!
  13. Yet is was a huge? disappointment. They had given out about 9k free tickets out in the schools and such and were expecting to break 1000 spectators. But the crappy part of it was that it was raining all day in the city, but at the track (10km from the city) not a drop all day...
  14. Looked horrible though... I believe he started riding only last summer. They bought a bike for him this spring but had only practised about fifteen laps on wednesday before the meeting. The facilities are good in Pori and the track is hard enough, so it should be easy to learn the tricks and improve as the summer goes on.

Autio, Lahti, R.Heikkilä, Nieminen 65,22 Finaali: Laukkanen, Lahti, Autio, Mustonen, Reima F 63,54 Katsojia 635 Markku Autio was the surprise of the day with a very good performance. Mustonen wasn't at his best, suffering from flu all week. Laukkanen was clearly the best on the day and Timo Lahti 2nd. Tomi Reima was squeezed at the back in the start of the 5 man A-final and didn't find a way to pass Autio. Then on the last lap he hit a hole while challenging Autio that put him on the slippery stuff and fell off. Laukkanen stated afterwards that speedway as a profession is now over and his ambition is on the longtrack and goal there is to get in to the GP in two years. He's always been happy to talk about money, but now he said that speedway hasn't been fun for a couple of years now, so why push it. As a hobby it's still fun and he had a good day out yesterday.

  17. What opposition? Nice to see Kalle Kivistö making a comeback after a year away. Teemu Mattila came back late last season after an absence of about 10 years. Joni Kitala and Aarni Heikkilä have decent scores too, but I wasn't there so dont know better.

  19. My notes say that the heat winner passed the second placed rider on the last lap and my pics tell me that blue helmet colour was leading after three laps. I'm right, they're wrong.
  20. Well it'll be a while before he's back. According to Jan Stachmann yesterday he's broken his collarbone, same as Simon Nielsen. Heat 6: Sundström, Mellgren, Katajisto, Vissing and the time was 59,4
  21. Joonas Kylmäkorpi will ride in the GP qualifier at Divisov and Kauko Nieminen will replace Kaj Laukkanen at Lonigo. Kalle Katajisto is a reserve at the U19 EC final at Tarnow on July 11th.
  22. Lindbäck will make the final at Ullevi and get a wild card to both Parken and Vojens.
  23. Kalle Katajisto scored 10 from six rides in yesterdays Allsvenskan opener in Sweden. Timo Lahti got 9 from five. With Simon Gustavsson unfortunately injured the Nordic U21 final (which is the toughest of them all!) looks to have a Finnish favourite for qualifying after eight years waiting...
