Gothenberg Gp 08/05
f-s-p replied to shankley61's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Because Bomber let his bike go into Hans. Andersen had made the pass, there was contact and both were under control BEFORE Bomber gets some drive, lifts and bails out. Bombers mistake and should have been excluded. That Sajfutdinov/Andersen clash was similar, but Sajfutdinov (in my opinion) had not passed Andersen, he just came from the outside entering the turn and turned in front. Yesterday the passed was made before either of them started to turn. Who's Stevie Wonder? Did he ride? -

Indeed Harris saw his opportunity and bailed off. Probably thought it would look could on his CV for next years WC application AGAIN for it to say someone knocked me over while passing and riding faster than me... -
World Team Cup - Qualifying Rounds

As it was a german ref Froschauer, you could watch some German videos from Youtube. I have the secretarys filled spreadsheet and even that does not give all the exclusions and falls or heat times, so I guess your out of luck. Been told that there were photographers like ants but no mention of it been taken on video. -
World Team Cup - Qualifying Rounds

This is something that our team manager had been working on for over a month with Nieminen and Kylmäkorpi so that we would have the edge regarding the silencer issue. DEP has been tested by both Nieminen and Kylmäkorpi to the extent that they were known to be the best pick. It was also known long ago that the new silencers would be mandatory for this event. -

Hancock was in Latvia last year, Kalle "almost" beat him then so who know's what would have happened this year... Well Finland won it's qualifier against the teams present in Italy, so we are in the TOP8 of the world in 2010. Live with it! -
World Team Cup - Qualifying Rounds

There might be a change in the Finnish lineup still, as the meeting starts at 10PM Finnish time. Thats way past bedtime for the 17 year old Timo Lahti so it looks like older brother Teemu will get to ride... -
Out for 6-8 weeks with several broken bones in his hand.
-
According to BSPA website Joonas is riding in Lonigo. I guess it's not up to FIM to not want us in the World Cup anymore as the Greek goddess of speedway, Spay, apparently has it in for us big time! Timo Lahti was smashed last friday, Kauko has a hand injury from tuesday, according to Anders someone tried to fence Kylmä also on tuesday... Thats speedway I guess...
-
actually it's "reilu", pronounced a bit like "raylu"?????? I guess this would be a good place and time to ask if tomazpozrl is travelling with any of his photographing friends, I'd be happy to receive and publish a few pics of the meeting...
-
There's fair and then there's "fair"...
-
I have no idea. Naturally the Slovenian team manager would be my first choice of people to tell my info regarding this one...
-
Too great, but a meeting is a meeting and different to just riding around in circles by yourself, what ever the score.

T.Lahti, Lahti, Hillborg, Burestad Ei ajanottoa Patryk Dudek will now join Claus Vissing on the idiot list of speedway riders trying to ruin Finlands chances in the SWC. Luckily Timo Lahti didn't hurt himself as badly last friday as Kylmä did a year ago. Was in Sweden for the weekend to see the Finnish 80cc training camp. Was quite impressed to see two 10 year olds racing against each other for a lap side by side from the tapes... Both had ridden only half a dozen times last year and always alone. ***Pictures from the 80cc camp***

Jonassons ban starts next week?
-
Joonas was left out so he could sort himself and keep fit, not get injured again just before tapesup. His website says he's fine even though he pulled out at Wolves. Finland has a good team now, taking Mustonen onboard for a SWC qualifier would have been a bit like taking Gunnestad jr. for your PL team, just a new name... Mustonen wasnt at Hallstavik last weekend, so it's hard to say what his level is currently compared to the other Finnish U21's. Teemu Lahti would have been OK I guess, he even might get the call if something happens. His style changed last year and is now a lot smoother -> faster. Havent posted the results from last sunday yet because I dont have them yet, expecting to get them today. I did have a word with the coach though and he said Timo Lahti was absolutely flying at Orionpark. Those JRM's could not have taken him any faster around the track ad Lahti used all of it. Like they said with racing engines, if they start up they'll break down and they're at they best just before exploding. Thats exactly what happened to Timo's engines on tuesday P&P. We'll see what happens today as Brovst is riding against Outrup? in Superleague. EDIT: AND DO KEEP UP DOUG! The Finnish team was announced here on March 16th.

Finland won Stjärnorna at Hallstavik today by sixtysomething to twentysometing. Niko Siltaniemi and Timo Lahti both took max. Hope to get the results early next week. Some pictures can be found from roffe lundstedt site.

Anders, you think Hautamäki will get to ride this year for Griparna? What about Timo Lahti, any good through your eyes? -

#4 in the 80cc averages of last year in Sweden. -
Yes. This is the last year of the first 3 year deal and I've read taht they want to continue...

Were all idiots so who cares! I lived practically like a king in Berlin some years back with just the basic student money+loan. Tried to find a apprentisship and if that would have happened nothing would have stopped us. It didn't and maybe that was for the better, we still had fun! First day of training at Hallstavik and Niko Siltaniemi is outshining the rest including that stupid icelandic fog. Tero Aarnio is apparently also doing really well and doing some riding style adjustments towards the better. He's there to do some training ahead of the new campaign. Looks like anyone who was smart enough to ask for a "license" to come was welcomed open heartedly. AS SHOULD BE THE CASE! Mika Loppi is also doing well I'm told. Improving by every lap. My feelings about him are made well known in last years thread.

With the amount of money you've saved drinking beer in Bydgosz instead of Kuopio this spring you could buy your own practise there... You should atleast go and try again as the track is a bit different..

The tarck at Varkaus was opened this tuesday by Appe Mustonen. So it's ok to ride in Finland too.
