  2. This is what I was talking about... >>>HERE<<< Something Kalle had the chance to do for two laps, but when SimonG got his chance the first time, he did it.
  3. Are you talking about the finnish team manager palomäki or the u21 coach teurnberg?
  4. You're both right and wrong. There is talent, but however wft was Kalle doing letting Makinen get anywhere near him in the first place. Kalle had the chance to take the necessary points on couple of occasions. In his first he was leading SimonG from the tapes for two laps but chose to race against him, when he should have blocked him or even "fence" him. Instead winning his first and hardest heat he was blocked by Simon and at the same time he lost enough speed so that the other guy got in front of him too. Then in his fourth he was against two danes that were practically "just standing on his way", but as the guy in front was so much slower than the two behind him, Kalle was always in the wrong place and was sandwiched by the two on several occasions exiting turns... My head is still spinning after saturday, you had to be in it to believe it...
  5. We didnt get to see the actual fight as tm Palomäki was holding Katajisto at the pits long enough to calm him down. That was it, yes. Four years of work from the coaches and the first chance in a decade where Finns could actually help eachother like everyone else always does and this happened. I really dont know yet which side I¨m gonna take on this...
  6. Relaxing here near Gothenburgh after a great day in Malmö. The ref was extatic about the racing he saw and for what I saw I through the camera I was happy. For the Finns the meeting ended in near fisticuffs for which the endcome will be told in the next couple of years. Better report on monday...
  7. I think they are cousins but a friend is saying not related at all. Maybe by searching the forum you'll find the answer as this has been asked before and I did find out. Jyri Viemerö has ridden before but kept a break for 10 or so years before now. Marko and Pekka Toikka are both newcomers for this season, I have no better info on them other than they are from Karhula (Kotka).
  8. Isn't it common knowledge and an advertised fact that the British champ will get the noed for Cardiff? And that's what I meant, you can get handpicked, but not over Magnus Zetterström or any other reserve.
  9. They did ride at Pori on sunday. 10. Rules have been set for the season, end of. They did not change the rules last year when Watt was shafted by Portasiewicsz but they did change them during the close season so it cant happen again.
  11. Liveupdates for this weekends matches are under doubt, but they can be found from HERE if they happen. Just pick the right match, I think... EDIT: An update to this whole updates saga is that the code is alive and kicking on the world wide web and banning any technical disaster at the Pori track the updates should be found at WWW.KISAINFO.NET/ONLINE.ASP. Meeting starts at 3PM local, 5pm UK and 4PM Germany. Something completely else for Singapore, Australia or USA.
  12. How would you facy Jyri Viemerö or Markku Larronmaa? Dont think Marko H is gonna take the big step anymore, but Miikka Hyyryläinen just might. He's 17 and started on the big bikes last year with -11 being his first competiteve season.
  13. SM-liiga kicks off next saturday at Pori 3PM local. Lineups as follows: Speedwayn SM-liiga 1/8 14.5.2011, kokoonpanot: Paholaiset: 1) Joni Keskinen, 2) Marko Suojanen, 3) Jiri Nieminen, 4) Jere Lehtonen. Sand Blowers: 1) Jari Mäkinen, 2) Niko Siltaniemi, 3) Pasi Pulliainen, 4) Aarni Heikkilä. Kotkat: 1) Kauko Nieminen, 2) Juha Hautamäki, 3) Markku Autio, 4) Mika Loppi. Keittiöpiste: 1) Timo Lahti, 2) Tero Aarnio, 3) Aki-Pekka Mustonen, 4) Marko Hyyryläinen. There's a chance of live updates, a system is being tested tomorrow to see if it works by saturday. SGP will now be shown on Finnish TV as Nelonen Pro has made a deal to show it. Yrjö Laukkanen (Kaj's dad) will be the pro-commentator with someone I've not heard doing the bigger part of speaking. At least speedway is on after Canal+ dropped Elitserien in Finland.
  14. Not long ago I watched a document on stadiums and how they are built. Ithink there was an example about Cardiff that if the middle tier would start shaking like that, not a problem. A bit scary and might cause a riot but not really something to worry about. Something to do do with vibration and the "make" of steel and how it behaves, cant explain really. But like someone said, sometimes you go to a track in Poland and next weeks there's a huge stadium instead...
  15. feeling disappointed for the team's performance and naturally not the slightest embarrased by my postings... I followed the meeting to the midpoint before I had to leave and felt the gates were gonna even themselves out... But it looks as though Germany was just too damn good this time and Katajisto was a weak link that was not in my books...
  16. Katajisto is letting us down, machinery or not it's still him. Hautamäki keeping up with the competion allright alltough not ridden so much so far this season. Aarnio living up to the expections he himself made by blasting the management when he was not picked last year for KL.
  17. I'm told Katajisto two R's/0's through mechanical problems while 2nd in his race. Still close after 11, thank god!
  18. Report from the track says that it's been very wet and muddy with a postponement in the cards just before tapes up.
  19. By conveniently forgetting this minor detail we will make bigger headlines in the one paper thats actually interested. Thanks for the report, I owe you
  20. We did allright. Looking forward for tomorrow and seeing our team manager for an update. Last year there was all kinds of hanky panky going on, I wonder what the story is this time. I noticed that Andrei Grodzki was the jury president, so maybe this time all has been done accordingly. This was the first time in a U19 or U21 team event in the time these meetings have been held that the Finnish team has gone through!
  21. Another try at 5.30 ? My man at the track says it's going ahead.
  22. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.............
