You mean should have been. We had no air fence so the world's quali was given away. Also the nordic co-operation/nordic final system is most likely scrapped and never to return. The same with UEM, actually no places were even asked in the U21 Euros.

Yes, it's possible. But the hotels are pretty much booked by now in Pardubice. Atleast from the sites I use... Be careful with taxis in Prague.

Zlata Prilba seems pretty good to me!

Jason Crump To Step Down From Sgp At Torun.

I'm really sorry, but this one still bothers me... Like said before, the current rulebook says JC's place goes to the next inline from the substitute list, aka riders that finished 4th to 8th? or 10th? in the challenge at Gorican. I thought that okay, let them do it they way they did when Hans Nielsen bowed out, it's been done once so lets do the same again. BUT what did the rulebook say, when the Nielsen case was actual? We need the rules from that year, my catalog only goes back to 2006. Because the rule now sounds like it was tailor made for the future after Hamill decided to quit in winter of 2005 or something. -

What counts is the verdict that will come if it's taken to arbitration? Not sure if thats the right word, but there's an internal panel within FIM that handles these things when push comes to shove. Like in our federation over here, there are lawyers involved that are not necessarily motorsports people, they read the rules as they see them and that might not be the same view that they get compared to Jean-Paul and TonyO. And one of the FIM panel members does the same with SML. And then there's always CAS, they do all sports, dont they? But I guess we'll here A. Drymls own view on this soon enough, since I find it hard that he could do both GP's next year, longtrack and speedway. Personally I'm done with this debate, since it's (who replaces who) been done once already. Just messing with Phillips head, since the rules say other than he does. = ) -

It's biased on FIM thisandthat and the otherone saying so, not the rulebook. -

Ales Dryml has atleast once, possibly twice almost died on track or in the hospital after a crash in speedway. Today he's practically European speedway individual champion leading by 6 points in the standing with 5 (of 20) heats left, he's a regular in the longtrack GP next season having come second in the challenge and now he's 1st reserve in SGP 2013. Even though I think he's not the man for the GP spot, I'll take my hat off for him. EDIT: Ales Dryml IS individual speedway European Champion 2012. -

I'm going to bed now and you lot will keep going on for the next three hours. The part in bold is the problem, according to the rulebook the ninth rider does not qualify. NOTHING in the rulebook suggests he would. And yes, the SGP rulebook talks of him, not her... or a person. -

I just read the track racing appendix book and it's the same: both books talk about the qualified substitutes list. Haven't seen though, how that list is compiled! But going by how it's been done for a few years now, it's the top8+x amount of qualifiers from challenge. Substitutes come from the challenge in the order they finished in it. Just like Peter Ljung was probably 9th in Vetlanda last year, but the first on list to jump on board. -

But what did you think about the rule, now that you have read it? Its 077.8.5 and starts on page 23. Olsson and Gombeaud can both get it wrong too... -

Here's the book, please show the rule. Or are we sticking with the fact that it'll be re'written. -

There's no way that the 9th should automatically get JC's place. But let's all remember that next years rulebook is yet un-written. -

Dont worry, I'm good with falling out with people, I can find a reason. Anyway, I havent checked but I'm led to believe that if I bought a license from my federation, the small print says that I'm available to represent the federation if they ask. Most never get asked, some are allowed to decline everytime but at times push comes to shove and something like this happens. I bet fridays beer in Pardubice (just for you, not the whole forum), that the fact that a certain German blondie is the head of the track racing in UEM has nothing to do with these bans. He must be really pissed he did not see the best Germany has to offer in Rivne. I bet he thought it was the best place/meeting in the world to be last saturday... In my view the federation should back their riders with these international events. Over here the federation is semi-actively trying to stop paying for national teams and riders in different competitions. In some cases is justified, but in the end, when they stop paying for everything, we can only ask what the heck are they for? If no team or rider gets compensation, all the federation is doing is milking the riders money through licenses and meeting fees. -

Can the DMSB actually afford to do this? In my view they've done the right thing, providing that they would have fully compensated the riders for their appearance in Rivne. -
Probably one of his major strenghts, his mental approach. You dont see many youngsters at that level that rubbish themselves when interviewed on live TV.

Brilliant stuff! Danes are team players, MJJ let one chance go for Nicki but took it in the end. Marvellous!!!!!
-
From memory I would say well done by Haderslev! Didn't Vojens pull out from Superliga this year after Ole announced that the track (his track) fees were way over what the local club could pay!? Ole might be a oneoff out of pocket, but possibly Superliga returns to Vojens next year. Thats much more important for the sport. MJJ just made the final, brilliant!!!

I've met MJJ and a few times and spoke with him also (in english). You people have no idea how much respect is lost hearing him speak danish! He's a class act, hope he wins the U21 after being "forced" to do it by DMU.

Timo Lahti rides on sunday. Maybe someone will get him a wild card for the U21 final on saturday, since Pawlicki is out and injured... Oh, just remembered, that's not how it works!
