Gp Rider Sponsorship
f-s-p replied to Matt Davis's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
They were not similar suits, makes you wonder. I bet it's down to money. If emil wants 50k for his thigh and no-one wants to pay, he leaves it empty. Which is daft, since my first reaction is that his manager should be sacked for not doing his job over the winter. EDIT: 1 logo by KW on a suit is 40 zlotys... Poor Emil... Cant find enough money to fill his own suit. -
How bad is Simon's possible injury. I dont trust my skills in German lingo...

I browsed the rulebook, there was no mention of this. It sounded stupid yesterday and has not changed in that respect.

Heard the weirdest thing 5 minutes ago. Suits by certain manufacturers are banned according to the newly (about two weeks ago) released FIM regulations for 2013. Any info, please....
-
I found this one... Yeah, right...

Next on the FIM agenda is re-introducing FIM Best pairs. It's already in this years rulebook. Another noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo-goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

Dislike For The Gps?

Not just with visa's and such. Thanks to Ryanair and Easyjet and whatelse it's affordable and easy. -
Not a problem for Timo, shame for Teemu. It's not like they were too expensive or anything, for some reason they just were left out...

I think thats a good call. For both riders and supporters. I might be wrong, but recall that maybe ten years ago the Poznan track was almost wooded, growing trees and someone came and decided we are live again. Maybe thats not happened "big" enough in the eyes of the council... Where I live, there's a track 5 mins and 55 mins away, both sort of in my city. Both are currently lost because of the lack of use.

Yes, it's team Estonia.

A mental thing... Makes athletes relax and think they are better than they actually are. A widespread problem in Finnish ice hockey (possibly Swedish also) even though science says the effects to your performance are all negative. -
Wunderbar platz das FB! I spoke with Jouni today, he was quite unlucky in that meeting. Never seen him attack that hard, but actually his carb was broken and his engine was either flat out or not at all while riding... How many Finns in next years series then? If Järf finds the money he can do it via qualis, cant see us given a wildcard with the current record of success.

Aakko out for the season after dislocating his shoulder backwards. Thats more muscle damage than forwards. Tani moves to second reserve for the series.

Excellent meeting at Joensuu today. Järf is the champion with max points, Tani 2nd and Vilponen 3rd. 55 year old Timo Kankkunen had a meeting of his career with 4th place. Last time Joensuu hosted a meeting was in the late 50's. I know it was questioned (I did) if it's right to give them the final as the first ever meeting for the current staff, but it was just brilliant. Over 1000 paid to get in and the track and terraces of snow were excellent. I always moan, so 2 euros for a cup of coffee was a bit steep. = ) It was an excellent show! One interesting note was that people started to leave right after 2 hours had passed from the advertisef start time. I spoke to a man that had visited Russia recently for the ISGWC and he said it was the same thing. Heat 18 at the tapes and people started to leave as 2 hours was up. Aakko has his scan on monday actually. It's about 50-50 at the moment with his shoulder. Finnish track racing magazine Speedwaysanomat also did it's own feature on the subject.

Dmitri is my favourite French rider ever. His last name spelled in Finnish i the same as årse.

Aakko has withdrawn from the Finnish final. It'll be an interesting final now. A fit Aakko would most likely have walked it, but now it's between Järf, Tani, Vilponen and possibly Kastren and Toivola... To finish in the top 6 after 20 heats is not given as I counted 8 riders that should mix it on the track. Thats good news!! It'll be around -3 and cloudy, so no sunny ice racing pics for me in 2013! The most promising thing about this years final was that we had 27 entries!

Was it Polsport or something like that? One of the first programmable ones... They all ended in the bin after one or two too many EF's in the polish league meetings. Trick indeed had his own Penske frame. Had some innovative things built on it. I thought it was pretty lame from him to say after he retired that there was nothing special on it. But whatever the truth behind it, it was all truly well played and even forced Crump to spend some of his valuable time on developing his own adjustable front suspension...

Basically in this highly isolated incident while replying to speedibee I was simply winding him/her up.
