The grapewine says they are renovating the old Riga track in Latvia. Anyone know about this?

The earlier mentioned FIM notes were dated December 8th if I remember correct. Thats well in time. BUT are we believing an un-mentioned reporter on spwgp and fimlive or the mentioned FIM notes.

If you are "quoting" the "Iversen keeps momemtum" article, it actually did not say that. = ) it lists names and mentions Pawlickis reserve spot. EASY!!! mistake (possibly) from the reporter if he's not been given the facts. But what really surprises me, is why we are even discussing this. The excel was dated December 8th and was the first release (last -> latest I got) out from FIM. It's not difficult to go with the flow and change the "rules" at a moment like this.... = ) Just happens to be a big deal at the moment. How many qualified? I have the FIM CCP notes open on my excel at the moment showing 8+1 from Esbjerg/Holsted and if no brits are through, then only 7+1 from Lonigo... The Finnish final is on August 24th as well.

In prize money the winner gets 12k $ and the fourth in the final gets 6,2 k $ and the gap is 1st->2nd 3,2k, 2-3rd 1,6k 3->4th 1k. So I think there's still some incentive.

I wrote in July EDIT: early August 2011 (with a pic by Conkers) that BV stadium plan is made public and that in two years they plan to ride SWC there. This story was based on internet material from Manchester Evening something... I remember questioning the article since it said they are using 60 million for BMX and 6 for speedway... Sounded funny but was actually somehow correct. 2011 rulebook states 078.8.1 FIM Speedway World Cup Final Tournament Format Competitions for teams. 8 teams in total. and 2012 rulebook says 078.8.1 FIM Speedway World Cup Final Tournament Format Competitions for teams. 9 teams in total. So to seed the host nation came in to play for 2012 to first play in favour of Swedes... Turned/played against them according to many though.

The Finnish federation celebrated it's 90th? birthday last year and hosted a gala that had most of the Finnish motorcycling world champs there. We actually have the most WC titles in the world when copared to population or something like that. Anyway, this years Finnish final in speedway is 59th, I believe thats more the in GB.
