Grand Prix Speedway In Finland 2014-2016
f-s-p replied to f-s-p's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Only three Finnish riders in this meeting before Timo since 1995. Laukkanen was there 4 times, Kylmä twice and Kauko once. Tipu is also the youngest Finn ever in it. I do WANT TO keep my mood regarding this one positive and upbeat. Timo is a gater/decent if not better racer and his strenght is above all his head and mental side. Not that there's anything to be ashamed of in other areas. Five heats. Ask Zorro. -

Can I please get some ideas from you people who should be the wildcard for next spring at Tampere? Feel free to dwell on it until August 25th. -

He already did circles around KK in Holsted. He'll have two blue gates and when he brings his continental set to Wimborne Road, everything is possible. Just ask Zorro. -

2013 FIM Speedway Grand Prix Qualification Meeting – Challenge Poole (Great Britain) – 24 August 2013 – Starting List II The riders entered for this event have been drawn to start in the following positions: Ballot N° Rider FMN Country 1 Vaclav Milik ACCR Czech Republic 2 Maciej Janowski PZM Poland 3 Krzysztof Kasprzak PZM Poland 4 Oleksandr Loktaev FMU Ukraine 5 Timo Lathi SML Finland 6 Hans Andersen DMU Denmark 7 Kenneth Bjerre DMU Denmark 8 Troy Batchelor MA Australia 9 (Wild Card) Daniel King ACU Great Britain 10 Niels Kristian Iversen DMU Denmark 11 Thomas Jonasson SVEMO Sweden 12 Michael Jepsen Jensen DMU Denmark 13 Piotr Pawlicki PZM Poland 14 Martin Smolinski DMSB Germany 15 Matej Zagar AMZS Slovenia 16 Daniel Nermark SVEMO Sweden 17 (Reserve) Jurica Pavlic HMS Croatia 18 (Reserve) Peter Kildemand DMU Denmark Przemyslaw Pawlicki is injured and replaced by Timo Lathi. Peter Kildemand is now Reserve. Draw II for the Challenge. Lahti replaces PrmPaw in the lineup. Finland to have a rider and a GP in 2014! The reason why Tipu jumps to the lineup from second reserve is that Prem was in his quali so he takes his spot. Same happened with Katajisto a few years ago in the U19 Euro final. GO TIMO! -
Grand Prix Speedway In Finland 2014-2016
f-s-p replied to f-s-p's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I could have done it all myself. But I chose to "sell the rights" to her and said basically Yes to everything. Instead I went to work, edited my magazine, went to speedway and renovated the house and twice met friends. When you book yourself there's always the thing... It's like when you're travelling and you want to eat: You see the first place, its good and you're ready to go. Then someone says we can search a bit more and you end up searching and an hour later end up in the first place you looked absolutely knackered and ready for bed. Or then you let mr Pääsiäinen do it all for you. -

Almost everyone under the age 60 speak English so if you get lost, you just ask the first one. Getting to Tampere by any means is easy enough and local busses do a good job of transporting you around. Spiegal might not like this, but Finland is easy to do on your own. Most of the stuff you need to know can be found online. -

Sgp/bsi And Sec/one Sport It Is War Now
f-s-p replied to manchesterpaul's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
For a one off meeting organized by a promoter and getting it on Eurosport I thought the Eurosport Best Pairs was a decent effort. It had nothing to do with European Championships or FIM championships. It was just like the Scottish Open, only it was done in Torun, with pairs and was on live TV. -

Sorry about that, people are booking my spare room for next May like there's no tomorrow! Not really... Speedway.org is the best for continental longtrack and grasstrack, almost 100% reliable meaning they dont themself usually get much things wrong. -

Funny since the SEC is run under the juristiction of FIM Europe. Also for what it's worth and I've heard there's a plan to use the SEC as a stepping stone/quali system for the SGP (EDIT) in the future. If ever, now they've started on the wrong foot! -

I'm not even gonna check, but just say that Ryanair has been flying from TMP yor years and still does. Also for a few years now from Lappeenranta. Routes come and go, Ryanair threatens to quit and all, but they have not pulled out from Finland at any point. -

f-s-p replied to Irk Deflector's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
In no way am I celebrating (though this plays in favour of Timo Lahti in this competition), but can someone please explain why and how the Pawlicki brothers are always winning meetings this week and crashing out the next (EDIT) with semiserious injuries? This is now the third time this season I thought about this and decided to find out if there's a theory out there... -

2014 Gp Calendar
f-s-p replied to DutchGrasstrack's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Nothing special, the actual conference had been at Helsinki earlier today. Two big things in my view are that it's gonna be local material and only two rows of seats are gonna be covered, 1000 away from the capacity. It's on in May, the actual date later in August with (presumabely) the full calendar. EDIT: and one big thing to go with the previous is that BSI sort of wanted Tampere. They did not have to enter an auction and buy their way in to the series. EDIT2: and the track will be laid before winter. -
