  1. I'm 100% positive that this will come back and bite me in the ärse, but... The FIM people should watch more CSI: You always get caught!
  2. yeah, you're right. On the other I'd think there's a bus connection to the nearest trains/tunnelbana during events. 50k people need transport...
  3. run offs are ridden for top3 finishes and for reserve slots in the next round. There is no next round in this case and therefore countback is the way to decide the order. In six months the next FIM rulebook will be out. Read it and let us know if the bigwigs thought this rule should be tuned...
  4. Kosonen said it's only the bottom two rows out and Ole and Bellamy have seen the place. Also the stadium is structured so, that the first row of seats starts about 2 metres from the athletics track, thats the height of the fence element they use, I'm told.
  5. Slightly misleading, I was already wondering how they can afford to do it at Friends arena... And come on!!! 1 km walk is not a bit of a problem, is it. LOL
  6. Even though you have a totally wrong avatar, I feel 98% certain and confirm that they are reserved for BSI/Promoter/City purposes. What did surprise me was that when I went through the segements during the weekend, I was unable to buy seats on the bottom 10 rows... Hope thats not reality come race day.

The move by Aarnio looks quite lame on the video, it was really special seen live. Also Suojanens move in the semi cant really be seen on the video, Siltaniemi had a good wobble after they touched.
  8. A bit bummed that Timo Lahti only scored 2. Making it to the Challenge is a merit, but finishing in the top 8 was possible and would have been so nice. Timos brother Teemu was run over in the Finnish final earlier in the day and ruled out with a heavy concussion. So it was less than perfect saturday for Lahti Racing
  9. Juha Hautamäki is the new Finnish champion beating Marko Suojanen and Tero Aarnio in that order for the title. Jesse Mustonen repeated his brothers achievement and lead after 20 heats. Niko Siltaniemi gated in the semi trying to run Aarnio wide leaving a gap for Suojanen on the inside. Suojanen took it and and wiped Niko almost off his bike. Niko decided to stay up and finished 3rd with Suojanen and Aarnio progressing to the final. In the final Suojanen gated with Hautamäki on the inside. First backstraight Aarnio came from between them and turned 2nd in to the bend. Second lap hautamäki started his outside run and first passed aarnio and then suojanen to take his fourth title. Full results tomorrow...
  10. A FIM live tv crew vest has apparently been spotted at the track. Any idea of streams?
  11. execpt here, where you had to qualify for the job. My friend here next to me with a FIM clerk of the course license thinks the substitute list takes precedence until the very last minute. Cant say though when that last minute is... At some point common sense will come to play naturally.
  12. With Zagar out and Harris in this means that Krzystof Buczkowski, Max Dilger, Matic Voldrih, Cameron Woodward, Jakub Jamrog, Roland Benko, Norbert Magosi and Guglielmo Franchetti have all said no. This is what should have happened considering that they were the riders next in line from Zagar's race off. I smell a conspiracy here to get more brits in...
  13. Tickets go on sale next saturday. Also they will reveal the date. Finnish online service lippupalvelu will handle the tickets.
  14. Speedwayn SM-liiga, ottelu 8 Hyvinkää (HyMK) 20.8.2013 What started out as a dullfest came alive in heat 11 when Siltaniemi beat Hautamäki in an excellent duel. Really hard racing both ways. SB needed and 8 point win over Kotkat to win the title and they were 16-15 for Kotkat after 7, then 29-22 for SB after 13. Crucial 5-1 for Kotkat over SB in heat 17 sealed the deal. Interesting start in heat 12 when Tero Aarnio hit the tapes when the green light was on and the heat was called back all4back due to an unsatisfactory start. The Hyvinkää track is at the moment actually a clay/shale track. It was pretty good, great to have this meeting as a test for Saturdays Finnish final at the same track. 15. Kotkat won the Finnish SM-liiga today after finishing second behind Sand Blowers in the last meeting. In the end both teams finished on 33 points, but Kotkat had 4 more heat points and they were decisive.
  16. SGP is not on my Eurosport, SEC is. I think I watch the Nordic version.
  17. Marek didn't. Thats why he's so good and at one one time was even banned by his own federation! 'Cos HE'S SO GOOD! EDIT: I have to say it, cant let it be...<removed>
