Sgp/bsi And Sec/one Sport It Is War Now
f-s-p replied to manchesterpaul's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Had to read that a few times... It's Nelonen, Channel4 (though not the British one). Is this confirmed for 2014, or going by 2013? Since Viasat owned/owns the Nordic rights for the direct feed, and after Nelonen denied them access to Finnish ice hockey last year, they stopped more or less all co-operation with Nelonen... Also the SGP was on Nelonen's pay packet and shown as a full three hour broadcast the following wednesday. Dont tell this to the BSI people (so they would leave it alone), but I'm actually afraid they'll take away the stream on the website. It was free in Finland last year. -

Maybe they did it to win you over? And why not, Emil as a wild card this season it's full house again. -

My bet would be BSI's. It says so on the site. -

I see plenty further than my own nose. Thats my main problem and I hope not too many make the same mistake. Though on the other hand that might lead to things actually changing but most people actually are just happy whining at the sidelines. I do hope you read my post through, as I actually thanked you for your efforts here on BSF. Still, its been calculated here before, that SEC only pays better for the bottom (and the very top) finishers. The actual "pool" of money is practically the same as in the sgp. I take that Finland is not continental since the Ostsee is between us and Bavaria? Because I have to pay for my legimate Europort here in Finland. Viasat also owned the rights for SGP in Finland/nordic countries last year, showing the Gp's on sundays inFinland having sold them to another channel showing them with finnish commentary the following wednesday. ALL THROUGH 2012 AND 2013 I WAS ALLOWED TO SEE THEM FREE THROUGH A LIVE INTERNET BROADCAST PROVIDED BY BSI THROUGH SPEEDWAYGp.com. EDIT: some lame jokes removed -

On your first paragraph the first claim is questionable and the second is just crap. Your posts on the other hand have recently been beneficial for the the forum regarding your views, and insight. IMHO, if anyone cares = ) -

Never seen (and probably never will) an actual contract between BSI and any one promoter for a round, but surely no promoter would sign a purely one-way deal??? And that creates a question, that now when the crap has hit the fan and nobody knows how speedway lies in 8 weeks time, what rights do promoters have? Theyve been sold a product with certain criteria, but if the product is considerably weaker, can they call it off? World Champs is World Champ's, I realise that. -

Just for the last bit, I havent checked since I'm not that interesfed. But I had to dig deep in to this license business last season, so unless they changed the lot last weekend, I'm pretty confident I'm right on how the system works. -

Dont remember If I said it correctly the first time, but they shouldn't have tried to forbid them from riding for SFS. Let them ride, then revoke their svemo license and the season is done (apart from SFS). Nothing much came from SFS in the end??? -

This might have something to do with a different insurance policy systems in the UK, then lets say Finland. If the two federations have made a deal inside UK, that it's ok to ride in both, then thats great. And with the insurance system I mean, that (I'm told by bsf people in the past) that when you go and practise in a UK speedway track, you always need to buy insurance for that session... Over here I need to belong to a club that belongs to SML so I can buy a national level license. With that license comes insurance for all my practise and competitions during the year, anywhere. Then i can buy an international license on top of that, so I can ride abroad. Thanks to a system between the international federations, to ride in a meeting abroad, I only need a starting permit issued by SML and the appropriate license. With the permit SML states that all my insurance and other mandatory stuff has been dealt with and in case of an injury the SML license covers it and the local organizer is "off the hook". This is how the FIM system works. Only one club, one nation for a rider per year, only from the country that you have a passport to. And in Finlands case, we only have one reqocnised federation... And I'm quite confident, that Svemo is the only recoqnised Swedish fed when it comes to Fim and fim europe. So in my example, the riders that would have ridden for SFS, would have broken the svemo rules having ridden in a meeting without a svemo permit. Revoke their licenses for breaking the rules, deny them a starting permit for riding abroad... Nobody would touch them after that. EDIT: and when you buy a license, it says that at that moment you have read the rules and promise to act accordingly. So how can any Eu court touch that agreement, since you have given up that right to "freedom between federations". -

Only thing One Sport has done so far is copypaste the SGP on the cheap. So who are you talking about? -

I think the rule states (not checked but gathered from various news) that when you sign on for SGP or LT GP, you now sign on for the season. Dryml's case was the first time I heard of this. Anyway, once you've signed on, you're booked for the series. If you miss due to other commitments, you're probably out and fined. Thats what happened to Smoli, he had signed on for SGP, couldn'nt do the same for LT 'cos he was gonna miss one meeting... -

Or is this a direct attack on FIM Europe who sold more to to One Sport than was in their right? By this I mean, that a more in depht knowledge of speedway by the people in the process of the negotiations would have seen some of these problems coming. So basically I'm saying that the deal was made or signed by inept people on FIM Europe's side. When you buy a license from your federation, you at the same time promise to act according to the rules. In this case, Svemo should/could have revoked their license in Svemo. That would have meant (unless swedish folk speedway is a member of UEM or FIm, which I seriously doubt) that the riders in question would not have been allowed to ride in any outside SFS meetings. I have them both... To Breams comment about the federations... There's a lot of good in the system and the way it is built. This current saga between the two big just points all the bad things and basically covers all the good in crap. Last night (Feb 12th) I was forwarded a press release signed by Isabelle at FIM stating on rule changes in the longtrack GP... It was dated Feb 9th. So far there's no mention of this news ANYWHERE, not even on the German sites that cover the sport REALLY well... I mean WTF, was it just written for fun or in case such a change would go through... -
What am I missing? Who's having a party and where? No posts for a whole WC weekend???? Why wasn't I invited!!!! Different sources different injuries, but Tani replaces Aakko next weekend...

Costs Of Running In The Swedish League
f-s-p replied to Speedwaycrazy's topic in International World of Speedway
The very top crop of riders get around 20k€ per meeting in Polish Ekstraleague, 5k€ in Elitserien and probably 2-3k€ in the Elite. For these sums my Elite estimate is the most outdated, Elitserien is pretty much spot on at the moment and one can only speculate on the Polish sums, but Rune Holta was getting that much a meeting five years ago... Then you should also remember, that now that Emil has gone public saying he's owed 300k By Czhestochowa, Chestochowa goes public saying Emil owes them 200k for a breach of contract and in other fines... In Sweden they are running their ship tighter and tighter, if there's a mess somewhere it's usually made public and in the past ten years this kind of news get fewer and fewer... Where as from my memory these kinds of news are more and more frequent coming from the UK. -

Grand Prix Speedway In Finland 2014-2016
f-s-p replied to f-s-p's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Can you please tell her to get back to me as well... To CG, you should/could ask questions on their Facebook site at https://www.facebook.com/finnishgp. The promoters themselves update it time to time. To anyone intrested, I cannot see a friday night or sunday noon speedway meeting being held that weekend in Finland. Hyvinkää would have been perfect for a noon sunday meeting for everyone, but they are working in the GP and I was told last night it's a no go. Other tracks (geographically not so good), just cant see it happening... -
Going by Sgp rules, it's Niedermaier or he's out for the season from FIM meetings. Tani is going to the team final anyway, so I see no reason why not to take a place if offered...
