Could be that my flippant remark might not be too far off the mark. The reemergence of Bradford sharing the NSS with Belle Vue. Why not? Bradford only over t'other side o t'hill and still have a healthy following (certainly on the BSF). Bring it on.

Feel sorry for Mort seems to have been very naive in business dealings. i wish him well. Where as DG was quick to resign his directorship when the $h!t hit the fan.

What Makes A Good Team Manager?

Wow. You've got it bad today, Gav. -

Is the title of this sub-section going to be changed from Elite League Speedway to Premiership Speedway or are we waiting until the BSPA re-invents it'self (again) and reverts back to Elite League?
-
You'll be telling us next that you've never heard of Norbold's Hole.

I wasn't refering to a Gypo site more in the line of caravan racing. There's quite a bit of interest on the BSF for these more diverse motorsport formats in fact a format of souped up banger racing seems to have it's own thread. If you have missed the thrilling installments here's a link to the rivetting dialogue that can be found on there; http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=83019&page=1 You may notice that most of the posts are just copy and pastes that eminate from the same poster, which you may find somwhat bizarre.

It's just another BSPA gimmick, regurgitated as an AGM stockingfiller, next season we'll probably have green helmet covers back.
-
what about caravans then?
-
If The BSPA are going to step in as tenants maybe the stadium and track could be let out to two or more promotions. eg BV and Slough
-
Enter stage left- STOCK CARS.

I don't have a balance sheet but owing one rider 20k!! Can you imagine the rest of the debt involved before they moved into NSS. Council have said that rental payments were defered until track was sorted but no rent was paid at all after that, so where have all the monies received gone? Paying off previous debts and 'wages' it would seem'. Mort seems to have been stiffed by DG who has now 'done one' to save his credibility to be a company director. 'rat sinking ship'?
-
The whole thing was rushed through and the keys to the stadium given to a promotion that was already on the edge of bankruptcy. Total madness.
-
Load of tosh. No matter what don't blame Poole for your lack of motivation. Fact you're lost to the sport NEVER to return, a geriatric keyboard critic, probably best to stay away and reminisce about times gone by along with gluestix and his 'I was there' band.

I feel that the losses of the opening meeting fiasco are not the main reason for the failure. How Man City Council allowed Mort and Gordon to take over The NSS with massive debts still outstanding from their previous venue is beyond belief. 'Teeming and Laddling' is the term used i believe.
-
Left knowing a winding up order is imminent and would hence be barred from being director of any other company?
-
I notice from these companies house reports that David Gordon terminated his directorship of BV Arena ltd on 20th Oct 2016. 'Smell a rat'?

Sheik Mansour to expand his presence up the road a couple miles?

3.6 The Belle Vue Aces have undertaken business planning work which sets out the income and expenditure forecasts under a range of scenarios at a new National Speedway Stadium. The principal day to day operations of the Aces is largely driven by attendances and ticketing income. Currently the Aces average attendances are 1,000 -1,100. It is envisaged that with a new Stadium, the potential exists to increase this to between 1,800 and 2,500. So the 1000-1100 in the business plan was 'incorrect'?
-
1300 tops. The document states that (pre 2016) attendances are 1000-1100. Really!!
-
I'm not 100% sure but it may be that Man City Council insisted on a stadium manager and H&S manager in the terms of the deal. It's a new build so would have to comply to reams of 'red tape' that wouldn't be applicable to an existing stadium. It that was the case the promotion would be foolish to proceed, but maybe they had already got to a point of no return. these things are not evident at early stages of contractual negotiations.

How very sad. Meet him a couple times, a nice guy and very knowledgable about all aspects of sport. Sadly missed.

' We've a bit of tarmac left over from a job up the road'.
