  1. Good going, won't take long to erect the rest. Cladding, masonary and fitting out will be time consuming though.
  2. The FIM have passed it on to off-duty policeman Inspector Jacques Clouseau. He intends to make a statement but there is a problem with the pheaun.
  3. In the best interests of speedway, I think he should return to the GP at the earliest possible time where he should ride on a red carpet all the way to the podium.
  4. I'll meet you halfway it's £60 (including the booking fee of £4) on the terracing, banking same thing- no seats. £84 in The Stand (inc £4 fee).
  5. 2 adults and 2 grandaughters £64 to stand on a banking £64! I'm not having a go here. I'm a local lad and went to my first speedway meeting at Hyde Rd in 1960, so The Aces are dear to my heart and i'd love to see success at the new stadium but feel that the pricing is ott. Will wait till I'm 'up north' later in the year and take the girls to BV v Pirates meeting with a 'nosh' at Wang Sing after.
  6. Ticket prices far too high for a novelty meeting. Child under 12 £20!!! Was going to travel up and treat our 2 grandaughters to day out. £80 + £4 booking fee, Rip Off! FORGET IT!
  7. Here's three of Britains finest to get the job done:_
  8. No problem. They get 18 off-duty policeman in.
  9. Maybe the off-duty policeman could officiate as a 'tape watcher' when he has finished with the breath testing.
  10. And you can always find one of these hanging around on Letsby Avenue.
  11. Problem being he has been the only man for the job, hence a closed shop and jobs for the boys. If BSI had been more professional and tendered the track contract from the start there would now be several contractors bidding to take on the contract and no doubt would be may able to offer a better and more competative product. That's the way it works in normal business. BSI/Olsen have had 15 years experience of putting temp tracks into existing stadiums many with closable roofs to aleviate the uncertain elements situation and they still can't get it right. ffs We even had a 'rain off' in a closed roof stadium.
  12. Problem was that the ruts weren't allowed time to develop into holes, then an off-duty 'Norbold's Hole' technican could have fixed them.
  13. According to this article http://www.thenews.pl/1/2/Artykul/204033,Speedway-competition-cancelled-halfway PZM's contract with BSI states that Speed Sport (Olsen) has to oversee the track prep. “PZMot as the organizer has made every effort to ensure that this event abided to the highest standards. We had been in talks with the Danish company BSI [benfield Sports International] for over two years. The contract forced us to take on Speed Sport owned by [former Speedway champion] Ole Olsen, to oversee the organisation and the technical aspects of the track. Unfortunately, we witnessed many problems,” PZMot deputy head Michał Sikora told a press conference. It would seem that PZM have a case to take legal action against BSI, therefore don't expect BSI to make any statement.
  14. That's because they're in a studio in the UK with no link trackside. Andy and Scott may be enthuiastic and doing the best job they can but the Eorosport production is amateurish. If they can't have a man trackside it's better they just do highlights later in the evening than pretend they are there. I'd prefer it for one.
  15. Problem is Eurosport are only 'garden shed' broadcasters with no one trackside. Unfortunately his association with BSI is 'fireproof' so he wont get the blame.
