  1. Full credit to Matt Ford who kept a cool head and didn't throw in the towel when many other promoters would have given up and written the season off.
  2. I'm not enjoying seeing the Brummie boys get a beating like this. I genuinely hope they can get back some pride and points.
  3. Sandy could have got out of his wheelchair and ridden with Benny for a 5-1 win against your lot last week.
  4. I thoroughly enjoyed the meeting and the icing on the cake was to see a British rider become the new world champion......Congratulations Tai Woffinden
  5. I don't normally find hypocrisy amusing, but in this case, I just had to make a very pleasant exception The excitement and anticipation of the meeting has already started to kick in and as always, may the best team win.
  6. I'll be rooting for Tai to end the final meeting as World Champion.
  7. Istoneylegend, I would be very surprised if Barker will miss the first leg at Poole. Most likely he is resting the hand injury and I fully expect to see him hurtling around the boards at Wimborne Rd in the first leg of the final on Monday night!
  8. And that from the man who unfortunately on most topics about Poole Speedway - resorts to dishing out personal insults and rants on a daily basis ......In between bans of course. To-date, I have been ignoring the latest anti-Poole rants that you have yet again started up on this forum and I was actually going to continue to ignore you - until I saw you negatively included me in one of them (Poole Quay 7)................
  9. Clearly some people must still get accidentally high on fertilizer fumes .......It does go some way to explaining a few things!?
  10. Unnecessary and flaming remarks Agrotron that wouldn't sit well with any supporter.
  11. Birmingham can win it - so can Poole....That's what makes it such an exciting final. I agree that it could very well be determined by the teams riders that make the least mistakes but I also think the caliber of each rider will be tested and I think Poole just about win that one?...However, the spirit in the Brummie team is first class and that has to be taken into account as well. This final is actually a tough one for me because I was born in Brum and brought up in B6 ( Aston Park my playground!) and I first visited Perry Barr many years ago as a nipper. We moved to Poole and after Birmingham speedway stopped for about 20 years? my allegiance also moved to my home town team Poole speedway. I have to be honest and say I would just about like to see Poole win an exhilarating final but if they lose, then nothing would give me more pleasure than to see the Birmingham Brummies hold that silverware up with pride. As always, may the best team win and both meetings, be free of accidents.
  12. I'm so pleased internetman made such an impression on you steve that even after all this time, you still feel the need to keep on bringing the name up. I enjoy giving likes for posts that I actually do like and more importantly - I'm pleased that personally, I am not insecure enough to feel the need to see who has got what afterwards and particularly on my own posts!....Unlike someone else of course.
  13. Tony, We don't talk of such matters when we at the Poole Propaganda Dept are in full-flow!
  14. How revealing to see once the pretense has been removed Now I'll just add a like to this post Steve S to make him even happier. Up the Pirates.
  15. Well judging by your signature at the end of each post " Lakeside Hammers 2013 Elite League Champs " plus this..... ...... osted by Vincent Vega on 23 September 2013 - 09:28 PM in Elite League Speedway "Well the Robins take a 10pt lead to Wimborne Road which will be more than enough. Dunno if they will get much of a crowd for the second leg Shovvy will watch it on telly!! Robins in the final already." Therefore Vincent - please forgive me if I don't take any predictions you actually make seriously. Now please can we get back to far more important matters like this final which could be a very close affair? And after all, you have to be in it to win it!?
  16. At least Poole manage to get to a final...whatever the outcome. I bet last nights result must have gone down a storm in your household
  17. It would be complete madness for Poole to go into this final being complacent of this spirited Brummie team and I honestly think it could go either way!? Look where a bit of complacency got Swindon last night.
  18. I think there was an all-round hint of complacency within the Swindon camp typified by Hans and their own team manager when they both said this in the local paper on the Monday leading into the meeting..... “To be fair it’s Swindon’s to lose and not Poole’s to win, that's what I think." “We came pretty close when we went down there before on the tele, and that was without Pete (Kildemand), so I think we can go there and win." And this from Rossiter: "we know we are good enough to go down there and win the meeting,” he said. “We can finish them off, and we finished second in the league despite a few things going on and a few mistakes were made." http://www.swindonad...bins_to_attack/ The Irony of this patronising message is too good to ignore
  19. Well done to the Brummie boys easily beating the weakest team to reach the play-off semi-final's Commiserations to the other Wolves fans and particularly those that made the local trip.
  20. Fair play to Rosco at the end and to the sporting response of the Robin fans on here. Congratulations to the POOLE PIRATES on reaching the play-off final
  21. That's good news for the team going into the meeting. Best wishes to the Brummie boys tonight
