Give it a rest gavin. Not for the first time you are making a fool of yourself at the expense of Poole. Yes, we do have some fickle fans at Poole but you show me a speedway or even football club that hasn't? If you don't like Poole Speedway then fine, and if there are certain aspects you like about Poole then great. From what I've read, you can at times, be capable of giving constructive criticism but these points get lost within the predictable, snide and spitefully critical remarks. It is no better than flaming rhetoric from a troll and that's why very few people take you seriously about your comments on Poole. Cue yet another wriggling reply on the lines of.....It ain't me gov........ you just don't understand me!
-
I thought KK might well be wearing the Poole colours next season however, we now hear he is not riding in the UK 2014 and is even selling his transport van here!? It has to be said I'm now getting a tad more intrigued just who is joining us at Wimborne Rd!?
-
Clearly a KL supporter getting a little ahead of himself before a wheel has even turned - Plus completely naive, but I suppose that's to be expected after being starved of any notable success for so long.
-
This is the result of good sponsors - who not only supplement the club with funds, but also ensure the riders are kept happy by being paid on time.....And of course the sponsors also recognise the excellent and professional management set-up in place at Poole.
-
Has the resident busybody now found God?......Because he seems to be preaching and patronisingly blessing people more of late. On a far more important point; I've still got my fingers crossed for the Panthers to continue, otherwise it will be a massive loss to British speedway.
-
Fair enough, but what an opportunity for him and I'm sure the experienced Poole management will be supportive and make sure his equipment is in good working order. Contrary to what some think on here - Matt ford is no mug and the signing of Lee Smart is a calculated risk that could pay off handsomely for both parties because Lee does have the talent to do well. However, It's something of a crossroads for Lee and I'm sure he knows that. I sincerely hope he realises what an opportunity he has now got at Poole and goes out and grasps it with both hands. Welcome Lee to the current Elite League Champions...Poole Pirates.
-
That's Harsh on Lee. It's so easy to make comments about a rider before a wheel is even turned and not even give them a chance. These guys need our support and I wish ALL the new riders that are entering this league the very best of luck.

As expected, we have Kyle Newman as reserve and he is joined by Lee Smart. Lee has done the rounds over the years and if he can get his bikes up to speed then it could turn out well for him and Poole? On searching for some info on Lee I found this below......Lets hope he shows this form for the Pirates! I wish them both well. Winner Lee Smart is flanked by David Howe and Ben Barker THE New Year Classic produced a surprise winner for the second successive year yesterday, when Plymouth Devils’ Lee Smart lifted the trophy following an exciting final victory. However, there was disappointment for Newport Wasps skipper Leigh Lanham, who exited the annual meeting when he could only finish third in the first semi-final. Although Smart turned up at Queensway Meadows Stadium as the 2010 National League Riders’ champion, he was, as was defending champion Steve Boxhall a year previously, very much regarded as a dark horse for the title. But Swindon-born Smart was a model of consistency all afternoon, positing four second-place finishes in the 12-heat qualifying competition. And it was as a runner-up after overtaking Lanham in that first semi-final that he progressed to the four-strong final. Smart’s task to climb to the top spot of the winners’ podium looked massive as he lined up against twice-former winners David Howe, Kevin Doolan, a previous victor at the venue of both the Prince of Wales Trophy and the Wales Open, plus Ben Barker, who came third in the 2010 event. And when Doolan made a superb start from the gate and took Howe with him, it appeared Smart was destined for the bronze-medal position. However, roaring down the far straight on that first lap, Smart picked up a magnificent power boost to sensationally engineer himself through the smallest of gaps to pass both Doolan and Howe. From there Smart sped away with Doolan later coming to grief, although he was able to walk away from his fall unaided. Smart went on to take the day’s final chequered flag, much to the delight of Plymouth fans among a crowd approaching 2,500 Article continues.... http://www.southwalesargus.co.uk/sport/speedway/speedwaynews/8766333.Squeeze_a_breeze_for_top_man_Smart/

How refreshing to see Matt Ford and young Kyle joining in with the spirit of Christmas pantomime season and giving us a good laugh
-
More to this than meets the eye from the Poole end and I wonder if we will ever find out? However, good luck to Kyle and I hope he eventually goes on to be great success.

Well if memory serves me right, wasn't this the same poster who proudly proclaimed that David Howe was a nailed on World Champion in waiting! -
Speedway: Josh Grajczonek confirmed as Pirates' first 2014 signing FIRST SIGNING: Josh Grajczonek PIRATES chief Matt Ford believes the signing of “star of the future” Josh Grajczonek will make his club the envy of the Elite League. Ford suggested that all of Poole’s rivals would have loved to have snapped up the Australian after he had put the finishing touches to Grajczonek’s 2014 contract. The emerging talent became the first name on Pirates’ team-sheet after being rewarded with a place following his excellent contribution to the club’s title triumph. Grajczonek took centre stage as Pirates stormed to grand-final glory last term on the back of the Aussie’s 38 paid 43-point haul from a mammoth 26 play-off heats. The 23-year-old, who scored 95+11 in 13 meetings for Poole, will start the season as a full club asset following his switch from Glasgow and on a 4.48 average. Can you can get any-more personal than commenting ........... "It's my personal choice to dislike him," Some might think that perhaps there is room for you to improve your bedside manner Doc! As a matter of interest, please would you care to elaborate on what a "Poole type" is!? -

My goodness, how will Chris and all his "cronies " sleep tonight knowing you personally "dislike him" and he won't be riding for us I think you should consider prescribing yourself some tranquillizers Doc and try to calm down -
Ward is nailed on. KK has got his re-arranged testimonial at Poole next season so he should give his all for the Pirates if chosen!?

Sad but not surprising news. Good luck Chris with getting back to full fitness - which is far more important than where he rides. -
Yes, that's my take on it as well.
-
Wasn't there rumours last season that if Leicester did move up then they would aim for KK as their number 1? On his current average I personally would prefer KK back home at Poole - Particularly as he doesn't seem to enjoy riding for anyone else in the UK hence his low average!?
