  1. A handshake would be it, not the rest. I was not their so I accept your interpretation. Your comparison to soccer managers response is one I would not want to be compared to.
  2. Sorry Chris, but I find myself at odds with your comments on the Rye managers offering congratulations to Dan. My game was Rugby both league and union, and we were told that you congratulate your opponents after the match, it was called sportsmanship in my day, yes, in the dressing room you let your feelings be known about the performance or lack thereof, but a performance like Dan’s should be recognised. I’m old fashioned, tell them well done but kick their backsides next time.
  3. Are there no mods on this site. Reading the last three pages to catch up with all the BV news all I find is Wolves, Swindon and, of course, Poole. Why bother having team threads at all, just have two - Poole and one where all the usual numpties can insult each other. Very poor Forum, mods non-existent.
  4. I don’t know if there are any issues regarding the track but if we think about who of last years seven have signed for other premiership teams then maybe that is a clue.
  5. Sky used to alternate between each meeting, for example one leg at Swindon then one leg at Wolverhampton then back to Swindon etc. Makes for a longer programme though. I imagine BT will do the same.
  6. This could be a classic. Both teams well matched and, if everyone on form, these will be close races. The difference will be Dan Bewley, what a talent. Really lookin forward to this, shame Wednesday has not been picked up by B.T., even delayed "live" would have done me. Hope all riders be safe and Go Aces.
  7. I see now that he will have to do what he is told. I didn't know that this DMU had such authority but, in fairness, he has to do what is best for him in the long term. Equally I am not sure the answer is for us to refuse to ride. Lets hope that the DMU do accept that he has no chance of winning this competition so they will release him to ride for us. I am not holding my breathe.
  8. Whilst this situation is not of Kenneth's making, how it is resolved appears to be in his hands. If he has any loyalty to Belle Vue then he should make his decision as soon as possible and give us the maximum time to sort out a replacement. I am sure Mark has been in contact with the BSPA to get a ruling on what choices we have. I really is a shame that just when I looked like we can field our full team this come along.
  9. I don't know what Mark was thinking when he agreed to this. Both cookie and Steve over 350 miles away riding last night, morning match at Poole and then travelling back for a fixture at Wolves tonight.
  10. I'm confused. Updates are showing Lahti riding at 3, not reserve?
  11. Haven't you got to have done 12 heats to call it a result?
  12. Following Peter Oakes' report in the SS as well as in a national newspaper which puts more pressure on the BSPA to be seen to be doing something, has this sort of thing happened before involving a rider and official ? and what was the punishment?
  13. It could be just me following the Chris and Batch problems, Jack preferring to ride in Poland I notice today that Jason rode in Poland today but was not fit enough to ride at Rye House last night. Is this a further example of us being shortchanged in the U.K?
  14. Clear now, sunshine and blue skies. Hopefully good to go.
  15. Pouring down in North London, thunder and lightning as well, so BBC seem to have got that right
  16. I believe Richard Lawson is mentoring him, he was at the Aces/Wolves meeting recently. I agree with you either a former or experienced rider would be helpful which is why I was sorry to see Scotty leave, he would have been perfect.
  17. My understanding is that sky had a contract but decided they did not want to go ahead with it so they "gave" it to BT at no charge but BT has to pick up all the costs of showing it. But that arrangements ends at the end of the season so BT will then have to decide whether they want to negotiate a new deal. Not 100% sure that I am right with all of that.
  18. Has anyone actually spoken to him? Just saying his back can cover a multitude of issues.
  19. Well Mr Ford needs to be quick, isn't the last date for changes on the 31st (injuries excepted)
