  1. Bullet, the only bit of your post I agree with is the fact I got the name of the team wrong. Thats not to say you are wrong, because we all have different opinions. That's what makes this forum interesting for the majority of the users.
  2. Why not do both. Think a good crowd tonight sends out a positive message to the new owners. I will be thanking them all personally tonight because I don't think I could follow any other team full time, & whatever problems Speedway has, I have missed it over the last few months & cant wait to get started again.
  3. Montie, my attitude towards British riders is probably better than yours. I have sponsored one rider for the last 4 years, & helped a few others with driving etc. My team is Peterborough,( the clue is in my user name lol ), but I go to a lot of other tracks including Mildenhall. To call them poxy because you dont agree with my opinion, is a bit childish. My honest opinion is that the Saints team should be in the MDL, but thats all it is, my opinion.
  4. Hope the new management get a good response for the meet the riders evening later. Be interesting who KKS chooses to stalk this year lol.
  5. Agree with you HT, & can guarantee that I wont be going to Mildenhall when the Saints are due in town. Be interesting to see how long some of the new lads last if they are continually off the pace, & earning hardly any money.
  6. Got to know Rob Godfrey a little bit last season, & have to say his enthusiasm & efforts are second to none when it comes to helping British youngsters. My opinions are more to do with the National League, & its continued improvement. A team desperately short of being competitive is not good for the league in my opinion. The riders mentioned didn't all progress from 3 pointers to good riders in the same team in the same season, & it isn't realistic to expect it to happen next season.
  7. Would you pay to watch that team come to your track though ? I certainly wouldn't because they wont be competitive.
  8. If the new promoters do read this thread, they need to keep a close eye on the security. Last season I was threatened by one of them for standing on a yellow line, & when I complained to the head of security, he justified it by saying that I had smirked at him. The same numpty had earlier put me in the casino car park because he was on his mobile phone & wasn't paying attention to where he was sending me.
  9. Hope you are right Bagpuss, & agree that Lewis could surprise a few people this year. Has certainly got some top engines under him.
  10. If it helps make them more competitive, then I think age shouldn't be a barrier. If the team of 3 pointers are getting thrashed every week, it could affect the confidence of the riders. Is Steve Jones any better than Lee Dicken ? He was only an example by the way.
  11. MattR, whats the weather like in Finland in May ? Also, how does the price of drink & food compare to England ?
  12. Ordered my season ticket, & cant wait for the season to start. Looks a very competitive League to me, & think we should see plenty of close matches. Bring it on !!
  13. Haven't enjoyed my last 2 trips to Loomer Road, because the track had very little shale on it, & was poorly prepared. Can live with the sticky carpet in the bar, & filthy toilets if the action on the track is good. If the current owners did walk away, I don't think there would be many people prepared to take over.
  14. Good luck to the Saints, but feel that they should go with at least 3 riders who are established National League riders. Can see them getting beaten by huge margins, especially away. Must add that their options aren't great with the riders that are still available. Would big Lee Dicken be interested in riding ?
  15. All the people tipping Panthers to win the fours obviously don't realise Dryml isn't available.
  16. The money is paid in advance, which is good for any business, & if results go against you, you will still have most season ticket holders attending meetings. Seems common sense to make season tickets good value at all tracks in my opinion.
  17. What about Panthers £250, you can compare that, & it includes parking.
  18. I feel extremely fortunate to be reasonably fit & healthy. Any help that can be given to anyone with disabilities & any carers would be welcomed by me. If that puts me in the minority, then its a sad world we now live in.
  19. SCB kids go to speedway either because they want to go, or their parents take them because they haven't got a babysitter. The amount of kids kicking a football at the EOES suggests its the 2nd reason. The point you are missing, is that the disabled person has to pay for the carer which will result in them not going as they can't afford it.Trying to justify your point by asking if a child should go on their own is a very poor argument. The majority of carers go to various events for the person they are looking after, not for personal gain.
  20. Don't think he is worth the effort of responding to in any way Crump 99.
  21. Spot on blupanther. SCB, how you can compare a disabled person with a child is beyond me.
  22. Can't believe HRF still gets people to bite, especially you Crump 99.
  23. Be fun at the WTC when riders are losing races to play, or stop opponents playing the joker. Another obvious problem is when a reserve is brought in after the odds are laid on the programmed riders, & there isn't time to price the race up again.
  24. Nicki Pedersen, fences people for fun, but moans if anyone does the same to him.
