The Copthorne Hotel is very nice, & you can walk to the stadium from there. Depending on the amount of alcohol you drink, the all you can eat breakfast is good as well.
Is there any hotels near the stadium, as I am hoping to come down for my first visit to Plymouth. Also, can somebody tell me what the postcode is please.
Lionking what you posted reference Blackbird is tripe. He was dropped for Branford & asked to cover for him when he was riding abroad. Bad management as usual by Helmsley.
foreverblue, agree completely regards Newman. Was at Peterborough when he had his crash, & he looked very quick. If he steers clear of injury, he will be a lot better than a Premier League second string.
My first Speedway hero in 1968 at Kings Lynn. I would get him to sign a photo or programme nearly every week, & he would gladly sign it, even though I must have got on his nerves. RIP Thanks for the memories.
Dryml giving up when Ostergaard took him wide, when he could have caught Williamson, nearly cost us the match. Very good effort by Panthers in the end, & after the first 6 races, some very good racing. Kicked off on both sides of the pits as well, so plenty to entertain us all round.
The brilliant track at Scunthorpe, & a lot of racers in both teams, means I am really looking forward to this meeting.Think it could go either way, & feel Dryml is the key for Panthers.
I guessed by your name you wasn't a full time Panthers fan, but the club still needs as much support as possible. My opinion is that the management should have avoided a meeting so close to Truckfest ending, but I put that down to the fact we always had a couple of days extra to get everything ready because we raced on a Thursday. Nothing sinister just a bit naive on the part of management. When you do decide to attend another meeting, let me know, & I will come over & buy you a pint.
Scotsman, you seem a decent bloke, & a good speedway fan. Think its time you left the H&S issue, & concentrated on supporting Panthers again. We need all the fans we can get mate.
