Newcastle Announcement 27 September
proud panther replied to Terrace Grumbler's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Be positive, it will be announced that the Worrall twins & Lewi Kerr are spearheading the Diamonds next season. -
Nichols can't ride in the Premier League unless they change the rules.

Can see your point Panthers 89, but with a few fast track riders looking to move up, there must be a chance of the points limit being lowered. -

Don't think Thomsen will ride in the Premier League next season. Would be a very good top 5 signing for an Elite League team next year if they use his converted average. -
Bit of a storm in a teacup in the end, because all 3 riders could actually make the meeting, but have obviously had to change their travel plans. Really pleased they have all made the effort, & hope the inconvenience fires them up to stuff the Tigers. Adds a bit of needle to the tie, & I'm really looking forward to a friendly evening with the lovely security at Owlerton LOL.

MPT struggles out the gate, but generates incredible speed at times, & gives 100% every week. Not sure he will improve his average, unless he improves his starts.

Get Ben Barker back next season. Worth the admission fee when he is blasting round the boards. Also on a very attractive average. -
Agree Tigerite, It appears the fans aren't considered important as usual. Feel it would be good to have the matches on consecutive nights if possible. Would be a bit ironic if the 17th is implemented, & then gets rained off.
-
When is the BSPA going to confirm if the meeting is scheduled for this week, weather permitting ?
-
Surely the Sheffield management want as many Panthers fans at Owlerton as possible ? If we are forced to ride with a team of guests & RR it will put a lot of fans off attending. Getting time off work at short notice is another potential problem.

Peterborough V Scunthorpe Pl 13th September

Handbags really with a soft looking push by Thomsen on Davies. Hardly x rated. -
With people needing to book time off work, you would think it would be in everyone's interests to resolve this as soon as possible.
-
Got to use RR for one of the missing riders. As its on the BSPA website, it looks like it will be run on that date.
-
Surely the 24th would be the best date, because we are already without Ulrich, & 2 guests plus RR isn't very appealing for either set of fans.
-
woz01, do you really think that Woffinden would risk his World Title hopes to ride for Coventry ? Horton was talking to riders that he hadn't got a hope in hell of signing.
-
So basically Horton is talking bull as usual, & has signed nobody ?

Rye House V Peterborough 7th September.

bigcatdiary, be grateful for small mercies, at least we don't have to endure Ashtree 123 anymore. Big thanks to the Rye House management for that. -
Kings Lynn failed to make the play offs because they wasn't ruthless enough when riders were out of form. Difficult one for me, because I like to see loyalty shown to riders. Having said that, couldn't see Ford putting up with Bjerres dismal performances all season.

To be fair to the Rye House fans, the team they put out wasn't very appealing. Can understand a few of them giving it a miss. -
Panthers V Somerset 31/08

How can the track be so crap after the rain put some moisture in it ? Think we need a new track man, because it was gate & go & the normal excuse we get on a Sunday afternoon has gone out the window. Not that I am making excuses for our performance, because we were awful out the gate all night. Even Brady Kurtz made no impression when he missed the gate, & god help the chance of any newcomers coming back after watching that rubbish.
