Have to admit tho, on your first meeting back after a fortnight off with injury the last thing you want is to be tickled off in one and shown the fence in another, no wonder he got a bit agitated!! -

Remember one in the seventies, 34.5 to 43.5, Scunthorpe I think it was back in the day's of 13hts and Ken McKinley's famous JAP!! There's an old throwback to ponder!! -
Same here now, bit of picking and choosing to do?
-
Make that three coz sadly, I'm inclined to agree.......tho I'm not going to admit that in public you understand, as nobody responds to anything on ere thesedays, I'll be safe!!
-
Strangely enough I was looking for the info for the four's event on the website the other day after reading about the line up we'd put out!! Even though I'm not on them you can look at Facebook Twitter homepages but nothing on there either? Fortunately a handy soul posted it on another forum thread so, it was all good in the end!! Certainly doesn't fill you with confidence tho our website?
-
So what happened to the Sheffield fixture then I thought that was cancelled because of a festival, never saw anything advertised tho?
-
Just noticed, if no fixture is in place for the 30th June then there's another gap of a fortnight between our fixtures after this Saturday v Glasgow? Busy Busy last three months for us, cramming fixtures....our regular default position and usually our downfall?
-
I'm afraid that one is Belle Vue, they actually race meetings regularly for him to compete in....us on the other hand cant even claim to be P/T? And unfortunately that's where the issue lies, he's doing well for "himself" at the expense of the club, now he's got the green light to compete in international events those are weekend jobs that also inc Friday travelling, the two days we normally race on....so to speak so we will never benefit as a team from his participation until all avenues are completed on these types of fixtures? Of course you should J, what's the point of you're being here if you dont!! Isn't Klindt missing also?
-
To be fair, 4thbender can only grumble about the outcome when all the results are in and the mathematics takes over, it's been decided on pts difference per no of matches so with Peterborough not finishing til yesterday you couldn't have known how that would affect the qualification!! Agreed about your last paragraph, two groups would have been better and given a few more meetings!!
-
Think we can safely ignore the "reserved" date Geoff as everyone knows it's only there to avoid another blank space on the fixture list, giving false hope that one!!

A business plan that definitely needs upgrading for the 21st century? -

If what I've read is true that clubs have to pay their own riders for home and away meetings out of the gate money from those home fixtures then somebody somewhere must be seriously out of pocket with our riders just to keep us where we are, we just dont have any home meetings to generate anything? Agree about it being more an attitude problem than machinery but, to be fair, they also have bills to pay lives to lead etc and if they've done a job for you they should be paid promptly in cash not promises, I can see why some choose to do what they do but at the end of the day their poor performances dont just cost themselves money it costs the club valuable pts/cup ties and ultimately leads to poorer crowds via the knock on effect, no one really wins? -
Well that would explain a lot, a couple of decent size away wins and no home matches to pay for them, it's a bit of a catch 22 situation here but.... you cant keep sacrificing club performances when your so desperate for supporters to stay alive, I can fully understand it but something has to give or at least a reasonable compromise found otherwise no one will win?

Under the current schedule CB our first home "league" match will now be June 23rd v Glasgow, not bad considering we started the season in March??
-
Emphasis on that word!! If the right amount of Comets turn up I'd like to think we're good for something out of this and, considering we appear to be riding all our away matches first, the more points we get on the road the more it will stand us in good stead for when we actually start racing at home!!
-
Wouldn't agree on Craig Cook.... he can be recorded, especially on current form, England however probably not, although IMO they really should be to save on the misery, tho I might be in a minority of one on that!! Reading the fixture list earlier HT, Sat June 2nd home v Glasgow in the Championship Shield, nothing on the 9th, meeting cancelled on the 16th due to some concert, reserved day on the 17th but no one to fill it, home v Glasgow in the league on the 23rd.....regular racing you say, well if nothing comes of that reserved day we are going to be due another 3wk break in fixtures at DP bookended by the same team? I read Steve Park's post earlier and it's looking almost like our 6mth season is going to be crammed into the last 3mths, start late finish early is very much on the cards without us even trying?

Quite!!
