  1. Adam has a decent average so would Steve boxall fit ? If not I'd go for Ben Morley
  2. For me it has to be the Alan partridge of presenters. Mike Bennett. His winding up of the away fans, massive ego and lurid clothes always made me cringe.
  3. I know from talking to Leigh he wanted to ride at 3 but no other rider would swap. I would suggest that the riders need to ride where the management feel they are most use to the team. I'd put tungate at 5 Morton at 3 and Leigh at 4
  4. Much prefer Nichols and day over Tatum and Pearson. I like the more light hearted and amusing commentary and the honesty of Scott. Didn't miss the shouting of Pearson and Tatum or the fence sitting over anything mildly controversial
  5. Personally if I was in charge I'd give every child in all the local schools a FREE season ticket every year. Very few kids can get to foxhall or be allowed to go on their own so they have to bring a paying adult with them. I'd love to know what difference it would make. I started going at a 13 year old and got hooked and still attending 28 years later.
  6. Expecting a Red Cross parcel at any moment. Despite leaving before the last heat was finished we are still stuck in the car park.
  7. Ipswich have recently been selling the old programme which was rained off when the team returns but provide a up to date insert and reduce the cost of the programme to £2. This seems a fair compromise as the promotion reduces their losses and the fans save a bit without feeling ripped off. You are also informed before you buy that it's a old prog with a insert so at least you can decide. I think this should happen at all tracks
  8. Or the ultimate punishment. A season ticket at lakeside ! :-)
  9. Same reason why I only go to rye house in march or October as the track is best then.
  10. Adam done his job as a number 7 getting the 3 pts he needs to maintain his average. There is much more to come given time and encouragement. Good to see josh bates given a go as we could have used R/R but instead another talented young Brit was used and he rode brilliantly.
  11. If only some of the sky cash had been set aside for such tracks. Instead of giving it in inflated wages to elite "stars" :-(
  12. Some really good racing tonight from both teams. Newcastle deserved the win as they had tully and Henry fall while leading. Ipswich could not make starts tonight and paid for it. Great to see tully return and seem fully recovered.
  13. as a Ipswich fan I've been 3 times to bp. The first time I really enjoyed the meeting as it was a brand new venue with decent facility's and there was a novelty factor. Because you are nearer the action like pboro it seems faster and more exciting. I believe Berwick were in town that night. Next time Ipswich were riding and I enjoyed the away win but there was a lack of passing despite having bjerre riding for us. Third and probably my final meeting was a individual after the gp. Slick dusty track with no passing. Before bp opened many people would have been tempted to go as its sat night action at a track which is easy to get to. Many neutral supporters would go if the racing was decent. I won't again.
  14. Thoroughly enjoyed last nights meeting even rosco ! Just a thought was the racing better because of no polish riders involved. Being a Ipswich fan I've seen a few and most are very fast IF they gate or disinterested at the back putting in little effort or retiring on lap 3 Is premier racing better because of no polish riders perhaps ?
  15. I'm sure rob knows best looking from the top of the terraces. Especially as the man who made the decision last night was a experienced ref and former rider who was on the track to see how wet or not it was.
