  1. I went to the bike show at the showground recently and there was one Rory Schlien bike there but nothing from the promotion What a wasted opportunity to give out fixture lists stickers and maybe discounted admission tickets. Sidecars were entertaining the crowds during the day so why couldn't the bikes do the same ? I guess it's easier to tell your customers to bring a friend

  3. Would silver let someone else promote there while he owns the stadium ?
  4. Glyn Taylor designed and laid the Somerset track which in my opinion is the best track in the country. He also created the Redcar track and when he curated that was also a fantastic track. As they say ..... You can't polish a turd.
  5. When wolves signed him from Newcastle he would fence his team mates regularly hence why he never done a second season. He has always been dirty and you cannot blame youthful exubriance now. He fenced Hancock at a gp years ago and gollob fenced him in the rerun to a massive cheer. What's most disturbing is his attitude to zagar after the incident. Not seeing how he was and then kicking him on track. And then goading him in the pits was disgusting behaviour.
  6. There used to be concrete start gates years ago I believe in the fifties. Does anyone know why they were dispensed with ?? It's so frustrating having all these false starts nowadays I'd like to see a consistent surface used in the starting grids so there is no gardening. Must have been a reason why concrete start grids were stopped.
  7. Ipswich radically changed our track after 35 years because the track was narrow and difficult to pass as the bikes had got faster. It improved things no end coincidently with joining the PL. yes it did cost a lot of money but could we have afforded not to change ? Leicester has a lovely stadium but the worst track in the country by a mile. You must change the track before you lose the remaining fans.
  8. Rye house choosing reserves as guests and putting them in heat leader positions. Wtf ?
  9. And banger racing brought far bigger crowds and revenue into the stadium on a Saturday night. Not knocking that as that's why buster has invested so much back into the stadium Used to go every sat night til it changed to a wed now it's perhaps once a season
  10. The reason I believe he does not ride abroad is that he would come in on a high assessed average due to his performances over here No foreign club has took the risk as yet. So it's not a lack of ambition but a lack of a opportunity.
  11. When I read the thread title I just agreed !!
  12. I think tungate thought when he joined Poole he was billy big balls. Now pl seems a comedown to him.
  13. Or go in the car park and sort it out there the old fashioned way !!!;-)
  14. Yes that last month at Eastbourne his average plummeted strangely. Also when Ipswich booked him for the 2004 cup final I think at Poole he got a duck yet had been in great form. As for this rubbish about no points no money. Perhaps someone has paid him but not from lakeside.
  15. Must have been paid to score points in the pairs rather than paid not to score.
  16. If that's the case why not say that's the problem ??
  17. Are the armed forces coming in to solve the health and safety issues perhaps
