  1. Maybe he was the only rider prepared to do just six meetings before making way for drew. Knowing young riders they probably wanted a guarantee, two bikes and a Mercedes van
  2. Awful meeting on a dreadful/dangerous track which was woefully under watered. Nick morris is correct in saying typical England. The water bowser was inadequate and frankly Mickey Mouse. In Poland and Sweden they have the right equipment to start with. A close up of the two minute clock showed it perched on a former coffee table painted red. Just looks so amateur.
  3. Nick Morris is telling it how it is. No excuse for dust from heat one. When Kelvin was doing his track bit you could see how dry it was then.
  4. I think I’ll ask Chris louis if we can take sam to the pits early before warm up and get a photo and a autograph and I’m sure all will be resolved immediately.
  5. I agree and as a adult I find that reaction reasonable to a degree. But a ten year old doesn’t see it that way.
  6. I didn’t mean to be secretive just thought I’d save his blushes. Watched a dvd yesterday when the riders were giving autographs at the turnstiles. And a rider was asked what’s it like to give a autograph. He replied a few years ago it was me collecting autographs so I know how much it means.
  7. Rogers is a well meaning buffoon. Got his sums wrong at Kings Lynn. Put together the worst team ever at mildenhall. Didn’t last long at Plymouth. Most succesfull job was at Coventry holding a stop watch and getting his face on the sky cameras as often as possible. But to be fair he does awful lot of work getting youngsters rides and must be applauded for that.
  8. Positive stuff first. Good debuts for mark and coty and both contributed to a entertaining meeting. Despite Wallinger not scoring it was very refreshing to see him practicing after the meeting and trying to improve and learn the track. Our riders need to be aware of where their team mate is on track. Cam impeded Rory several times and Rory done the same to Nico. Now for a moan. When a ten year old lad asks a rider for his autograph and gets told to wait til after the winning parade and then the rider failed to even look at this lad and give his autograph even though he patiently waited for ten minutes. Its hard enough to attract younger people but to treat them like that is very poor. The riders need to remember who pays their wages because soon there will be nobody left. A quick signature means so much and the riders become heroes with these youngsters but this experience has left a very sour taste
  9. Spot on. Heeps was brilliant last year but on his return to these shores came back considerably overweight for a rider. He hasn’t shifted any of that excess weight since. Returning home from a awful performance at Peterborough we saw him At McDonald’s. Wouldn’t see many modern day riders doing that nowadays. I had hoped Jason Doyle would have given him inspiration that if you knuckle down and work hard you can reach your full potential. seems to me he can’t be bothered. Such a waste of talent
  10. Thank you for replying. I hope to take in a meeting at stoke in the next couple of months so it’s good to know things have improved.
  11. That’s for normal people not speedway riders !!!
  12. Sign Coty Garcia or Ellis Perks or both I think a few changes are needed to have one last push for the play offs it’s not over yet !!!!
  13. Another three injured riders. Was this down to rider error or the track ? Im guessing the track passed a scb inspection to resume racing
  14. Why should Sheffield Ipswich and Redcar be sacrificed just so the premiership teams can have fixed race nights. The championship / premier league / national league has always been a better run league. Several clubs have been tempted “up” and then been shafted and either closed or ran in the current national league.
  15. We are suffering at reserve this year for a couple of reasons. Last season everyone had to have a 2pt reserve and we had three good ones in Connor Nathan and Danyon. They were beating their opposite numbers successfully this year due to teams like us Glasgow and Sheffield going for two number ones in the team it has forced the other teams to build strength in depth because all the heat leaders were signed up. This has put a lot of pressure on the reserves especially when Nico was struggling after coming back from injury and cams lack of form. We have been unlucky with injuries but we need to act quicker to replace injured riders with short term loans and to nominate a number 8 Saw Josh Bailey on the terraces He would be perfect til drew is 16.
  16. Like a few Danes I think it would not matter if he rode national League championship or premiership he will always average about 6 henning bager, jan Graversen etc
  17. Has any work been carried out as yet on the track ?
  18. Surely Redcar Ipswich and Sheffield would be in the same position that rye house are now in. Why is it ok to possibly kill three tracks just to prop up the premiership??
  19. If you had witnessed him ride at foxhall you would understand. He rode high and wide and was highly entertaining
