Today’s issue is first class !!! Lots of innovative articles and interviews. Really enjoyed the riders reviews on the tracks. I would like to see the star continue in this way once the pandemic is over and we resume racing. in the age we live in now the vast majority can access results and local reports from every club so perhaps less emphasis should be given to the results and a bit more on new features. I do enjoy the retro side but only if it’s of the time I’ve spectated otherwise it’s of no interest. This week’s issue imo is spot on. Well done to all involved.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Berwick meeting. Especially mike hunters brutal honesty towards the home riders. great service. Thank you very much

If there is no racing the books of most clubs will be more healthy than in previous years. im furloughed at the moment and working on decorating my house. So all my weekend jobs will be complete when racing hopefully resumes. I shall be going to as much speedway as I possibly can as you don’t know what you have until it’s taken away. what’s the betting when we do resume the weather changes for the worse.

I’ve had the digital version for two years now and the advantages are it arrives at midnight Wednesday and I can read it anytime on my phone. I don’t own a laptop just a smartphone so one thing that is a pain is the layout. I have to zoom in to read and features and photos that overlap pages makes that awkward. another thought which another poster suggested was a monthly direct debit rather than a yearly subscription. I think that’s a great idea and would be more affordable to many more people. ive had the star every week since April 1985 and I still look forward to reading it every Thursday. Carry on the great work

Absolutely brilliant and heartwarming. Danny is a really genuine nice guy. Stay safe everyone and stay at home

He did mention Newcastle. I watched it again just to make sure. I do agree with tsunami that I imagine it’s a late payment rather than a non payment. Newcastle promoters have always had a good reputation and were in the game for a long time.

Just watched Matt ford on the video on the sgb page and Steve Worralls name was mentioned twice with the accusation he hadn’t been paid by Newcastle speedway.

Fingers crossed !!!!!!!

Not much chance of many riders being behind on last season’s evidence. Can’t see this year being much different tbh -

Did anyone on the forum attend today’s press and practice ? Was the stand available or was it closed due to having work done to it ? -

Did posters attend the dirt track show over the weekend and if so how successful was it. I was tempted to go but standing outside all day in March put me off to be honest. -

Bang on. Despite a huge array of star name riders riding for middlo it’s a pretty poor line up. Just shows how mercenary the majority of today’s riders are. The Ben fund meeting is similar yet the Peter craven meeting is a much better line up. the only difference is the pc meeting the riders receive points money. -

Or much good. Whatever happened to those pie rats

Yes it has. A bit more been added by the fence and some removed from the kerb.

Crump rode at the highest level for years and is used to winning but after 8 years out he won’t be anywhere near his former self. what’s his reactions going to be like and his attitude if he only gets three or four points. he might be a witch but I can’t cheer for him

Rather have Jason Bunyan
